What should be the run time of this movie, In case of Green Lantern WB forced producers to make it under two hours I hope that this gets more than two hours and is allowed some character development time.

I hope that with Nolan as producer, he will not give in to Studios execs demands for a shorter run time, I want it to be around 150 min.

2 hours 20 would be good for me or around that I don't get people who want a film to be over 3 hours long etc you need a film to flow and a solid runtime of about that would be best. I actually prefer films not to go over 2 hours to be honest.

Well, GL at 114 min seemed too short to show the scale needed for a movie like GL, which hurt the movie.

MOS should be around 2 hours 30 min, that would be ideal.

BB was 140 min. I guess MOS will be around the same despite the larger-scale origin.

Yeah that'd be perfect 2 hours 20 mins or 2 hours 30 mins or even in between.

The perfect length for a movie is however long it needs to be to suits itself... there's no point having it longer "just because we want more superman".

Yeah very good point

It is, but a movie of this kind and size and with the extensive origin needs room to breathe. It cant be rushed and anything under 2 hrs wont suit the movie.

At 140 minutes BB still felt rushed.

Batman Begins does not feel rushed, but that is down to fine directing and editing.

for as long a they filmed this thing i expect a good run time

i think snyder filmed watchmen in less time lol

Explains why Watchmen doesn't look half as pretty as this film already does.

I think MoS will be a shorter film.

Once of the issues with Superman Returns for Warner Brothers was that the film was too long for their test audiences.

Lets just hope some of the best stuff doesnt end up on the cutting room floor again.

It won't be. If WB wanted this to be a shorter film, it would have been shot as a shorter film.

I'm still expecting the budget to climb south of 200 Mil in post though.

Man, this wait for something official is going to kill me man. We need more details about this movie... :(

I know even an official release of the Con footage would be enough to tide me over til December

By and large, they're almost certainly done with the film now. If they still had full teams working on post production on this film, then the costs would skyrocket.

If editing, effects, sound design/mix, score, and color correction aren't nearly done, then neither is the film. They could be nearing final cut, but that has to be done before a lot of other processes start. If the edit was finalized say back in March or April, they could still be smack in the middle of a lot of processes.

They'll be nowhere near the final cut. The film was originally due for late December release, and while Zack is working ahead of schedule it would still likely only be finished early November. Hell, the score probably isn't anywhere near completed, if even begun.

I doubt the film will be 150. 145 is the most I see it being.

One of the reasons why the budgets go over the top is because they end up having to pay the fx people overtime when they have to get the movie out. Here, the hours still have to be put in, just wont be paying overtime to get it done.

A run time approaching 2 and a half hours will mean less theaters which will also probably mean less gross.

That didn't stop the likes of "The Avengers", "The Dark Knight", or "Avatar" from making a lot of dough.lol
