Mass Effect 2

Ah, okay thanks. I hope it won't require Element Zero because despite all the minings that I've done, I still don't have enough of this material and most of the upgrades are depending on it. :csad:
there are a few planets that are rich in element zero that i came across but i couldn't name them for you.

Love this game. I know i should be a Paragon... but being a Renegade is just too hilarious to pass up.

Like Javi said, there are some planets that will give you Element Zero. The good thing is that they usually come in enough bunches to give you what you need for the upgrades and more. Just make sure to comb every system and you'll find them along with enough Iridium to buy everything. You'll also find some E-Zero on a few missions too. Of all the elements you can find, E-Zero won't be the most abundant but you'll get all you need pretty quick.

Element Zero seems rare at first but by the time I was done with the game, I bought everything that needed it and still had plenty left over

I guess I have to keep mining then. Both Mordin and Jack's upgrades required E-Zero but I haven't researched them, due to insufficient material.

Btw, what loyalty power did you guys pick from Advanced Training? I haven't secured the loyalty of every squad members yet (except for Miranda and Kasumi), and I haven't decided which power is ideal for my soldier Shepard, either.

Depends on your class. I was a Vanguard and picked Fortication. The extra protection worked quite well with Heavy Charge

Oh and if you need help finding EZ, go to this site. It tells you all the planets which are rich in it

question i had after i finished the game:
does loyatly determine who lives and who dies on the suicide mission? by the end of the game the only people who werent loyal to me were Miranda and the Mercenary because i pissed them off. my ship survived the initial assualt (i assume people couldve died there) and by the time i beat the game those two were the only ones who didnt survive.

Sometimes... also depends on where you send them in the finale mission. Some people told me before that they had crew members not loyal to them but they survived based on what job they did on the finale mission.

No idea if that's true... if not, I'm going to have to replay the game again before ME 3 due to friggin' Jacklyn being a nutjob.

Kinda. The people you choose for the tasks will ONLY live if they are loyal. The final battle will kill off characters based on an algorithm and if they are loyal, the chances that they will survive increase, but they dont have to be loyal. For example, the second time I beat the game, my Zaeed and Legion were both unloyal, yet they survived the last fight. Also if you dont have all the ship upgrade, an unloyal person will be killed off

I'm glad that none of my people died on my main Shepard playthrough. Everyone was loyal to me, and I made it a point to only send people places where they made sense. In the ducts I was going to either send Legion or Tali since they were both tech specialists. Legion made more sense because he is a robot, so I figured he could take more damage. Next time I'll use Tali though.

Garrius led the second team since he led a group on Omega as Archangel. He's also one of the most stable people, so I picked him instead of Miranda since she has beef with Jack. Next time I might use Miranda or Morlun since he has a history of leading. Jacob and Grunt are soldiers, so I wouldn't think of putting them there. Either guy makes sense to escort the ship crew back to the Normandy.

The biotic I chose to shield us from the collector swarm was Samara since she volunteered and is a very powerful biotic. Only her, Jack, or Miranda make sense for that because I figured that we would need someone with high level biotics. I figured using someone else like Jacob would be too devastating and that he might die after that.

If anyone tried something similar and someone died, let me know so I can keep my whole team in tact. I rather like everyone...except Jack.:o

I used Jack as my biotic specialist since they made the character out to be one of the most powerful bioics in the universe in Jack's intro mission. I made similar choices to you and didnt choose Miranda to lead for that same reason. [blackout]The only thing different I used was Tali in the ducts with Samara leading, but that led to Tali's death[/blackout]

Thanks for the info! I'll check the list tonight when the children are asleep and I finally get the chance to play the game. :yay:

so if your ship is totally upgraded and everyone's loyal to you, someone can still die? sucks if your trying to get the trophy for it.

i sent Tali into the duct and she was fine. i just needed to make sure to open those terminals in time and Garrus lead the other team without problem. Jack was my biotic and she seemed to weaken at the very end but it still wasnt an issue. and i had Miranda lead the other team that time and she started yelling for back-up. i always wondered if that wouldve been different if i kept Garrus as the leader. for the final battle i had Grunt as my big gun and Miranda my biotic and in the end she ended up dying. too bad cuz i really wanted a second chance to get with her but thats probably not even an option by the end of the game. :oldrazz:

Yeah, but only if you send them on the wrong missions...

Like, don't send Jacob in the ducts, that would just be dumb... send Tali or Legion. As long as you make wise decisions (well... obvious decisions) everyone will survive. My first play through on the 360 I lost one team mate based on loyalty... the second I had everyone survive.

Garrus, Miranda and Jacob all work well as team leaders. Your Miranda might have died because you used Grunt in the final fight. He's a big factor in the 'hold the line' calculation at the very end.

Lol. Yeah, I just used the flowchart.

It's pretty straight forward.

Can I romance Kasumi? Because she won me over after her introduction scene. :hrt:

I don't want you to get your hopes up, so I'll just say that Kasumi doesn't really have any coversational dialogue, which doesn't really leave much room for any romance. Sorry.

Her loyalty mission is awesome though!
