Mass Effect 3 - Part 1

Ya know I've tried to find a Let's play of ME Galaxy or some equivalent and I never have.

Some gaming sites are speculating the reason for the delay was the opposite.

Link 1 Link 2

Ya speculating. The fact remains that many people were upset on DA2 and how it took out RPG aspects, and it actually bit them hard. So I can't say one way or another for sure, but I doubt they will action it up more, last time they said, they were going to put more RPG back into it. And with DA2 getting some flak, I kinda think they may do the same, even if the delay is nothing more then to get out of a crowded season.

Wow, the Joystiq talkbackers sure can be tools, can't they?

A bit of information from PC Gamer.

-Tali will be a squadmate.
-There won't be any new relationships for Shepard to pursue in Mass Effect 3.
-Biotics are more powerful.
-The Engineer's unique melee attack will be some kind of Omni-tool fire attack.*
-The Biotic's is an attack that knocks all nearby enemies away.
-The scope of the story is more similar to the first game.
-Every major character you've met so far will play a role.
-Apparently Cerberus/Illusive Man is working with the Reapers. (I ****ing knew it!)
-Add the Asari and Krogan to list of new types of husks you'll be facing.

*Is anyone else kind of disappointed they way they handled "tech" powers in Mass Effect 2 and apparently 3? I know they give them fancy names like "Cryo Blast" and "Incinerate", but they might as well just call them "Fire Ball" and "Ice Ball". They're just a little too close to magic for my tastes.

Good, good.

Well, I wonder how that will work. I hope it's not something lame like Cerberus is working for them to succeed and trying to bargain for humanity's survival via servitude or some **** like that.

The first time I saw Illusive Man's eyes I kind of figured he was going to be Saren 2.0. Who knows if it will play out that way though.

It will definitely be interesting to see how Bioware handles it though. What is the Illusive Man's motives? What are the Reapers motives with regards to Cerberus? And how did the Collectors fit into all of it?

If the Collectors were allied with the Reapers (or just Harbinger at the very least (that's something else to think about)) why would the Reapers then ally themselves with Cerberus who are responsible for the Collectors being destroyed? On the surface, with the information that we have, it doesn't make very much sense. And if Cerberus was allied with the Reapers all along throughout ME2, it would appear to make even less sense.

Either way, I'm pretty excited to see how it all shakes out.

:hrt::hrt::hrt::wow:

According to Mass Effect: Evolution, the Illusive Man was exposed to an artifact, much like Shep was in the first game. So was a friend of his. His friend became a husk and couldn't control his own actions most of the time. So maybe the Illusive Man isn't willingly working with the Reapers...

Some juicy infos right there. I love the sound of biotics being more powerful.

Also... Krogan husks? I wonder if they'll be like the Ogres of ME?

During Retribution Cerberus was messing around with Reaper tech, its not surprising it may have backfired.

I'm just wondering how the Illusive Man will play out if Shepard sided with him in the end (I didn't..) Will he still want you dead?

I think that if that's the case beating Cerberus will likely net you all the tech they may have gained from the Collector base.

I won't jump on the "Cerberus/TIM is EVIL and working for the MAN, man!" bandwagon until I see it in game or a BioWare official confirms it.

Were that to happen, unless the game had some intense and fantastic writing, it'd make the second game worthless and nonsensical, most things considered.

And I don't see BioWare pulling a Dallas.

And I don't see BioWare pulling a Dallas.

I can see it now...

Right after the credits roll, Liara wakes up. She hears the shower running and walks into the bathroom to find Shepard in it (the shower)... She seems to be a bit confused... How did she get here? Shepard has no visible scaring... turns out He never really died and all of ME2/3 was a dream... A very real dream.

Fans everywhere scream bloody murder.

On a serious note, I agree with you... I want to see something solid from BioWare first before I fully believe that.

I'm sure whatever Bioware ends up doing they're going to do it well in regards to Cerberus. If you had told me right after ME1 that we were going to be working with them I would have thought that sounded sketchy as well.

The thing is the Illusive Man is Mac Walters' favorite character that he's ever written. I don't see him just reducing him to the status of Reaper lackey without having a hell of a story to back it up.

Your mom is the favorite character I've ever written. :o

Nothing really new on the visual front except for a single shot near the end but here's the PC Gamer scans.

I really love the aesthetic of the Mass Effect universe. Seriously, some of the best sci fi art and design I've ever seen. In anything, really, not even just video games.
