Here are the two speeches for comparison, I think BW did a good job showing that "No, it really is going to be okay" in the P! ending whereas they went and embraced all of your fears and concerns, Matt with the R! ending.

[YT]QLKr_1R5h1g[/YT] Paragon Control

[YT]jaCKB5QRxt0[/YT] Renegade Control

YEah, I got paragon, but I still think that it is difficult to say that societies can evolve by their own choice when they know an army of unstoppable, giant robots are always watching them. The idea of a benevolent dictator (which paragon Shepard more or less implies himself to be) is inherently faulty, that is my point.

Anyway, you guys may like this. I am putting together an ultimate Mass Effect casting call. I thought I would give you guys a small preview which consists of my first five choices. I am particularly proud of Wrex.

Commander Shepard - Jeffrey Donovan

Ashley Williams - Rashida Jones

Kaidan Alenko - Alex O'Loughlin

Garrus Vakarian - Keifer Sutherland

Urdnot Wrex - John Goodman

More to come, but what do you guys think? Who would you cast in a Mass Effect movie?

Erica Cerra for Ash and get Brandon Keener for Garrus.

Except Shepard is not going to be dictating anything in the Paragon Control ending. If you're saying his presence changes things, then yes - of course it does but that change is not necessarily for the worse and BW shows this. The P!Shep Reaper clearly views itself and the Reapers as subservient whereas the Renegade version outright calls itself a leader - these differences are actually shown. You're assuming 1 ending when BW clearly made 2 very different Control scenario's.

Great casting, but I would personally choose Oscar Isaac for Shep and Edward Norton for Garrus.

I would pick... no one for any of those roles. Their story is done, I don't want to see a film based on the games. I feel that it completely ruins the purpose of them being cinematic experiences as well as games.

Maybe cast someone as the main Asari and Krogan characters, because I don't want to see this story take place anywhere near the Reaper war.

I don't want a movie based on the games either, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun casting the roles.

Agreed - I also super doubt that movie is going to happen (thankfully!)

Also here's Erica Cerra looking almost exactly like Ash

Oh ok.
I do like John Goodman for Wrex.

I wouldn't mind seeing Allison Mack as Liara. I know a lot of people don't like her, but I think she's a good fit. Or Allison Scagliotti from Warehouse 13.

Why wouldn't you cast Keener as Garrus? Considering the character would either be a costume or CGI, you've got to go with the only voice. Any other voice would suck.

Personally, I'm just being realistic. Outside of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, that sort of "Just cast the original voice actor, maaaan!" thing never happens.

I already put this out to you all before and upset spidey found pic of him before. but the guy who plays hicks in alpha's( you all need to see that show if you haven't) is a perfect dead ringer for shepard and he's already playing a super human marine turned agent/ x-Man in that role too. I'm sure upset spidey had the pic's of the guy, but he'd fit the role perfectly in my opinon.

Call me crazy, but I want Chris Hemsworth as Shepard.

John Goodman or Mickey Rourke for Wrex... Or Goodman for wrex, Rourke for Grunt.

Garrus... Paul Betanny.

Ashley... this is a hard one... If only we could splice Natalie Portman with Angelina Jolie.

Illusive man, Martin Sheen...comon.

Anderson... Laurence Fishburne.

Tali... gemma arterton

lol cory he's a c ool new actor and all but as shapard no. sorry man i just don't see it. some of the others are just iffy but doable. sheens fine.

I didn't ask if you agree or not.
:hehe:....

honestly, I'd rather it be a no name. I don't see any actor working, but C. Hem looks the part IMO.

hehe the problem is C, H . is known world wide. the guy I picked fit's what you said as a relative unknown. and he's actually the age where shepard started in his 30's . right age, look, and no need to dye his hair. right state to play shepard. he's already playing him. chris H would be the size of garrus. so much wrong with it. as for me agree I know you didn''t for that. it's just wrong that' why I spoke up.

I don't think Martin Sheen would be good as Illusive Man in live action, he's just too old. I think I would go with Bruce Boxleitner. I'm not really that familiar with his work outside of Tron, but I think he could make a pretty good villain.

I'm trying to be realistic. A studio is never going to give a 200 million dollar budget to adapt a little known (by the main stream) video game property with a bunch of video game voice actors and unknowns as stars. They will want marketable actors that they can put on Leno and Letterman and The Today Show to promote the movie.

Plus doing a fancast isn't very fun if you just say "game voice actors and unknowns!"

Meh, Sheen looks great for his age, plus TIM doesn't do much but sit in a chair and talk. Give him some hair dye and makeup and he's fine.

seeing that's it doesn't matter at time cause unknowns sell as good/well as well knowns. what matters is if all the elements come together as the scripts is right from the jump and actor is decent ,it'll be fine other wise a lot of actors wouldn't have be come big in the first place even chirs Hemworth can't argue that fact. (and he's known now due to that happening) and hugh jackman can't argue with it and large list of actors as well matt. the only people that want big stars all the time are producer's with out vision.

Wait, when exactly did Illusive Man become some young stud lol... i always figured he was in his early 50s at least.

No illusive man's old. it's just cause he's able to still throw down like how prof Xavier and magneto are able too in the comic's with their martial art's even though their old . (It fool's people like matt at times that their younger then they are.) which it shouldn't. it's just mean's they kept fit and are bad Ass 's

So Martin Sheen shouldn't play the character BW modeled after him.

I guess that makes sense.

Wait, when exactly did Illusive Man become some young stud lol... i always figured he was in his early 50s at least.

I think he is about 65-70. He looks around 45 but I'm pretty sure the average lifespan of humans in the ME-verse is 100-115 due to medical breakthroughs improving length and quality of life. So yeah, he may look young but he isn't a spring chicken.

I think Shep actually said humans can hit as high as 150 (and Miranda can go double that).

Anywho:

Or as I said he's just fit and Bad ass for his age.
