But this ISN'T like other movie productions... Do you not remember the interview Hudson did like a year ago, when the ME movie was first announced, that the condition of Legendary having the license was that Hudson and Bioware had creative control. They have a say in choosing the director, in major story decisions, in casting, all that stuff.
It's most likely what inspired Ubisoft to do exactly the same thing, with the way they have structured their film license... So they can have creative control.
It's not like Prince of Persia, or Resident Evil, where the game creators are glorified 'acknowledgements'... This is different, hence why I'm optimistic. No one has approached game-to-film adaptations like this yet, it's been largely film makers trying to emulate the game, rather than the actual game developers expanding into a new medium.
