Mass Effect 3 - Part 5

I hope they release an omnibus of all the ME comics someday. I want to read stuff like Incursion, but I don't feel like hunting them down individually through whatever BioWare and Dark Horse decided to release them. Some of them are digital, some came out as traditional comic issues, etc. I want them all in one place, in chronological order.

Here's Incursion

Aren't they supposed to re-issue Mass Effect: Deception?

I'd heard that they were going to make the corrections to it, after all the criticism hit with all of it's inaccuracies.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Dietz. I'm reading it so I know what's up with Kai Leng though.

If I didn't fix my scars in me2, will they carry over? I would really hate that.

I think it would be cool if EA released an entry to the Mass Effect series on the Vita. Maybe a prequel to Shepard's tale in ME1. It would be cool if you could import your save from the PS3 games into it and throughout the title you get some foreshadowing of the things to come based on your decisions from ME2 and 3

This would be interesting, they could start it with Shepard joining the ranks and see about the Skyllian Blitz and what happened on Akuze and all that, and end it with them going off to Eden Prime.

what kind of ME games would you guys like to see post ME3? Havok mentioned a prequel to shepards story on vita, how about a prequel to it all, starting with humans finding the prothean stuff on mars. could be a cool game going through the adjustments made bc of a new race, and the contact war

Im in the middle of the first book, could be cool to be captain anderson partnered with saren

I'm not really up for a prequel to be honest. The First Contact War is more of a skirmish and I know how pretty much all the historical background events play out.

Move forward I say.

i just dont see what kind of threat would top the reapers in a sequel.

it will most like be next gen console though, i wouldnt mind an MMORPG if it is done to its potential.

online co-op missions would kick ass too

I really don't see them moving the series forward on a handheld. A prequel would be more appropriate for that

Yeah I imagine its almost a given that ME4 will roll around with the next generation of consoles.

As for the threat, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Bigger and Badder threat to get people hooked in. As long as they're able to make the stakes feel important regarding whatever threat comes to the forefront next I will be on board.

Are any of them any good? I leafed through the one where Liara first meets Miranda and the art looked a little off in some places.
I like them. Omar Francia's been doing a great job on the art, in my opinion. Of course it's never gonna look as consistent or spectacular as the game's CG, but it's clean and has a clear narrative style, which is enough for a comic. Mac Walters has been writing them, so there's no worry about getting characters' voices wrong or anything. Hell, Invasion, the most recent one with Aria fighting Cerberus' hostile takeover of Omega, made me like Aria way more than anything in the games did.

If I didn't fix my scars in me2, will they carry over? I would really hate that.
I bet when Shep returns to the Alliance, Anderson's like, "What the hell is the matter with your face? Doesn't Cerberus have a health plan?" And then he tosses Shep's ass in a veterans' hospital where they fix it in no time.

Although I wouldn't mind seeing them carry over. Probably a lot harder to pull off as a civilian than as a badass, morally ambiguous soldier, though.

If you carry over a game from Mass Effect 1 & then you get that station to repair your face. You can do it literally right away. Really not that hard to do

Uhm... have you people known about this?

That'll be a bummer if it's not something they are planning to patch day 1. Then again, my ME1 femshep looked little weird when imported into ME2, so maybe redoing her face wouldn't be the worst thing.

Seems like a stupid oversight though, considering how integral carrying your Shepard through the games is.

in my quest to remain spoiler free, it seems like everyone hates ME3s ending...i hope they are wrong

This is what was said on the Something Awful forum that the poster in question is referring to:

"Are you guys having trouble using your ME2 facecodes in the demo? Mine doesn't match at all : /"

And in response a BW employee said:

"None of the faces will look identical, as the art assets have been tweaked and the options have changed in some cases (eg: more hair options, some slightly less extreme cheekbone sliders, etc). What we've done is matched the old options to the new ones as closely as possible, but you might have a specific case that doesn't match as perfectly as would be liked - you can tweak your face without needing to redo it from scratch if you don't like it in that case, however.

For faces without a face code, we don't have a source to import off of, so the faces will need to be reconstructed in that case."

I'd always wondered, if you imported your face from ME1 to ME2, was it a simple copy/paste, or were there actual improvements because the base configurations were also improved for the sequel?

In any case I'm going to be pretty stressed out trying to recreate my character's face from the eye. I'm a stickler for details and I know I'll never start my game until it's perfect. :(
