Probably said it a few times already, but so happy about this, loved the first series, it was better than Daredevil for me. And Daredevil was amazing so that's saying something.

Wow, very exciting news. Can't say I expected it, I had resigned myself to only seeing her in the Defenders, but I'm glad to hear this.

Is it wrong I am more excited for the Netflix stuff than I am for the movies?

Why should it be wrong? Daredevil was so good I can't wait for S2. It's good that marvel offers different products for different tastes. I'm totally psyched for the movies 'cause I loved what they've done so far and for DD/Iron Fist/Defenders. I don't mind AoS,Agent Carter or Luke Cage.

Yes...yes it is. How dare you.

:oldrazz:

I will go in the corner and think about the harm my comments caused :cwink:

JJ season 2 probably shot to the top of my most anticipated list in terms of Marvel, the first season was so good. DD season 2 along with Luke Cage I am excited for as well.

AOS and Agent Carter are great too. The TV shows just give me more of the things I want were as many of the movies are a bit too cookie cutter for me.

Damn. Thats Punisher, DDS2, JJS2, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Defenders, Two New Comdey TV Series. Not to mention current AoS and Agent Carter. Marvel really gettin out there with the shows.

I liked JJ a lot,AoS has been really good in S2 and 3,Agent Carter was very well-done too. IDK I'm just more excited for the movies.

I'm stoked that the series as doing well enough to expand even further than the original 4 show vision but I think I am most looking forward to the addition of the full on mystical stuff if Dr. Strange and Iron Fist (especially) turn out as well as I imagine they will.

I don't see anything strange with that. I think the Netflix shows can compare to any superhero movie. Not necessarily win every single comparison, but they aren't out of their league in any comparison imo (although comparing shows to movies of course will always be a bit tricky).

I'm one of the people who thought Phase 2 was an improvement over Phase 1 so I cannot wait for Phase 3.

Hey guys I gotta ask about something. So I was on Reddit this morning and someone said that Marvel Studios was separating from Marvel Entertainment to be directly under Disney, anyone else hear that and is there any truth to it?

Yes and no. But mostly no. :)

No one is separating from anyone. The reporting structure has just changed a tad. Here's the Cliff's Notes version.

Previously... Kevin Feige headed Marvel Studios and Jeff Loeb headed Marvel TV. Both of whom reported to Ike Perlmutter, Marvel CEO.

Perlmutter is notoriously curmudgeonly and is basically a penny pincher. Or so the narrative says. He famously refused to let journalists grab a second can of coke at some Marvel press event some years back. Also, he refused to meet Downey's asking fee for Civil War. Feige supposedly had to go over Perlmutter's head to Disney big-wig, Alan Horn to get the deal done. There's also a few other bizarre stories about Perlmutter out there. So yea, Feige and Perlmutter didn't really get along.

Which brings us to... a few months back, a restructuring happened. Feige wrested Marvel Studios free from Perlmutter, and now reports directly to Alan Horn. Poor Jeff Loeb, though, is still stuck answering to Perlmutter.

So, while everybody is still under Disney, Feige and his film division probably get more creative/financial freedom, and going forward, TV/movie crossovers might be just that much tougher than it already was due to the fact that Feige and Perlmutter don't seem to have the best working relationship.

100% agreed. Phase 1 was very good, Phase 2 was great.

I liked that, while Phase 1 was basically a single story culminating in the Avengers,Phase 2 didn't repeat that and it gave us more self-contained stories hinting at what we can expect from Phase 3. I think that's something that caught people off-Guard though. I mean Winter Soldier,Guardians,Ultron,Ant-Man all felt like new beginnings to me and I loved that. P1 probably works better as an overarching story but I think P2 had better movies.
