He was the only one in on it.
what!
What? Batman and Robin is a great movie for what it is. Great entertaining and replay value.
Plus it features a masterful performance by Michael Gough.
Arnold, it's all about Arnold.

Especially after Avatar and the TF trilogy hit the theatres.

haha, I was halfway through reading that and had a response forming in my head about Death of Batman being awful and he gets raped by the drug addict. I mean really, that was terrible. Like, I watched it right after it was made (like pre-You Tube, had to get the dvd mailed to me), and I was excited to watch it. Damn.
I know it's one of my favorite comedies.Léo Ho Tep;24191703 said:Batman and Robin Replay value is amazing.

But the problem with that was that it tried to mix in seriousness with it all, and that's where the combination failed in its balance. At one time it tried to be silly, the other it tried to be serious.
It wants to be more than a comedy. It wants you to care about whether Bruce and Dick can make their partnership work. It wants you to care about whether Fries/Freeze can save his wife. It wants you to care that Alfred is dying and hope that the family unit of Bruce/Batman, Dick/Robin, Barbara/Batgirl, and Alfred can be maintained. The movie fails because it can't reconcile its two disparate sides: the attempted sincere motion and the attempted light comedy (either camp or a more straightforward kind) clash badly.
Well Batman DE runs only about 8 minutes and while I wouldn't say it's the greatest fan film ever made it does come pretty close in capturing the grim grittiness of Batman.Nah, thankfully most hate it. They seem to love Batman: Dead End, though. For reasons I still don't get.
Academy award winning stuff I'm sure.Leo Ho Tep said:Because it's deep and meaningful, since the joker says everybody wear masks.
That's totally Batman Forever. B&R knew what it was. The fact that it had 5 serious scenes doesn't make it schizo. BF on the other hand was a clear 50-50 in its tone.
