The Dark Knight Nester Carbonell Joins "The Dark Knight"

Wow....I hope he's come a long way since Suddenly Susan....cause that's all I can remember him from. lol...

Hmmm... Interesting choice. The mayor seems young in this, I guess we will see. I trust Nolan.

This guy is a good actor - I like him in LOST and especially Smokin' Aces. He may be a bit young, but it's a solid choice. This mayor has sleaze written all over him........he's in business with Maroni more than likely.

He's A solid actor. A bit younger than I thought the Mayor would be.

Its cool, its not like there isnt any young mayors in america.....is there?

"Christopher Nolan's Batman Returns sequel" WTF?? BR was directed by Burton not Nolan.

You guys are ******ed.

He's not playing The Mayor.

He's playing Selina Kyle.

Sheesh...

:oldrazz:

WTF

I remember this guy as the *****ey mcdouche in House and from Scrubs. I didn't realize he was Batmanuel as well.

How ironic.

Seems to play a good sleazeball, though.

It seems a lot of people have never heard of the comic, cartoon, and the live-action TV series THE TICK, starring Patrick Warburton and this man as Batmanuel..........no "WTF" needed I assure you......

I snickered when I saw the Batmanuel picture. I never thought he'd get the role, so we'll see how it works out.

I'm not worried, I have complete faith in Nolan. So whoever he decides to cast is fine with me. But that pic just screams WTF to me, like a bad car accident. Its like 1 part batman, 3 parts spanish matador, and 10 parts homoeroticism.

Hate to sound PC but like how Gotham is racially diverse. Even in BB there's a dude walking around with a turban in the hotel, and the falafel guy could have just been a white-bread sausage vendor, tiny touches but it makes the city seem real.

Wow, Carbonell as the Mayor? Totally unexpected as I assumed that it would be the typical middle aged or older White male.

In the "real" world, there are ethnic mayors and politicians so its really refreshing for Nolan to cast this way and not portray Gotham as a lilly white world but to show it the way our world really is in real life: Diverse.

Great casting!

Never would have thought of Carbonell as mayor, good call from Nolan:up:

You guys, the reason he looks so young is because he doesn't age. (Lost reference) :p

He seems right for the cynical character the mayour seems to be in the TDK casting side.

The mayors a lot younger than i expected then

I suppose hoping for eastwood was a considerable longshot

I suspect he will be a shady mayor . . .

Great comments people. I'm definitely getting a Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco, vibe from Carbonell's casting. Just like Newsom, I suspect Carbonell's mayor will be young, sleezy, shady and two faced.

I can't stand that freakin SLIME Newsome! He is such a sleazy A typical politician. The city of San Francisco would be better without that slimeball!

doesn't look mayoral- add my vote to the "too young looking" column.

Is the guy any good? Never seen him in anything.

I guess if he's mayor of JCPenneyTown then it all makes sense.
