I'm actually in a minority of people who likes them all (yup including III & IV) :woot:

IV I think is a fun one to watch and roast. I do like the 80's-ness of it and it has a slight Cold War context to it too I like.

I wish I could say I thought of it first :funny:

I could name a few flaws in my most favourite CBMs (but suppose I better not given the rules of this thread). I think it's always a case of whether those flaws are a deal breaker or not and to me the flaws of BvS aren't. Right now I actually can't think of anything I'd change. Maybe it helps knowing we have a 3 hour cut on the way.
To be honest, amidst early reports that many are saying Batman is a straight up killer, I was sort of fearing for the rifle scene. I know he has his own grappling gun, so using a sniper rifle as a grappling gun like in DKR made no sense, so I was legit scared that he was going to snipe kill that guy. I was bracing for that moment, with my eyes squinting and all. but luckily it was just to shoot a tracker. If he sniped kill that guy, it would've been a pretty clear deal breaker for me. Thank Zod!

Haha all good then :woot:

I swear, at first I was sure he's gonna do it. But it's Batman.

Just got back. The 4DX experience is amazing! I went with 2 friends they LOVED it.

The ending still makes me so emotional. I think I got even more emotional than the first viewing.

Did you notice that Clark's dog is laying under Clark's coffin? The same dog from MoS
:waa::waa:

I don't know about anyone else but I really hope they do another film in the DCEU, where it's Batman and Superman together as a team. A Worlds Finest movie if you will.

How many showings have you been to now?

Also what exactly is 4DX?

I didn't notice that :csad:

Yeah I was really worried my second viewing would be worse because of being influenced by certain things said in here.

But other than having a bit of a sad moment at the beginning where I just thought it was so so sad that Superman was the cause of so much fear and death and suffering, I still found I was able to forgive the film it's flaws and things I didn't particularly like, and enjoy it for what it is.

Hi Hopeful, how's things? I'm really glad you enjoyed the film :yay:

Gosh, I remember that a few of us were going to meet in London to watch MoS haha, think it was Retrograde and a couple of others.

Please WB, listen to BH....

Awww man, I've seen it twice and never noticed the dog. :csad:

I read criticisms briefly, especially professional critics. But I fully watched Superhero News spoiler discussion. Guys were pretty harsh on the movie, but still stayed optimistic in the end. I personally was disagree with majority of points, but I had to listen to what other true fans are saying, what they liked and what they didn't. My personal impression was that their own experiences with past stories about Superman and Batman, other comic book movies, greatly affected their judgement. I guess I was lucky enough to brush it all away and take the movie as it is. Without going "I wish it was this or that".

Actually, he actually WASN'T a cause of all that. It was sad that Superman was wrongly accused. I felt this conflict and I rooted for the guy. Boy, what he had to endure in this film... Superman completely won me over.

Did you happen to go to the new 4DX theater in NYC at Regal Union Square?

The chemistry between Ben and Henry is pretty amazing. Would love a batman/superman flick. :hmr:

Nevermind this post. Maybe too off topic haha.

Just got back from my second viewing. I wanna cry happy tears...

I'm definitely going again.

My second viewing is later today (Monday) in 3D this time. I feel I might have a cry this time as I'll be going alone to this one. I held stuff in manfully on first viewing haha as I was with family and friends.

I'm all out of time and space with this long Easter weekend and clocks going forward, quite a surreal weekend. Off Friday and Monday is nice though :woot:

:lmao: They deserve it, truly.

Would love it too.

I still need to see this movie again, problem is plans both next Friday and Saturday, ugh.

Tell you my one big hope for Justice League when Superman returns I hope they blast out the full on version (not just the slow beats) of 'What Are You Going To Do When You Aren't Saving The World?'. I really missed it in BvS.

I would love just anything in any combination. For now it's gonna be Bruce and Diana. But I'm sure Henry and Ben will have plenty of time.

I just bumped into bootleg screen of the 100 years old photo where Bruce discovers Diana... LAWD. :hmr: It was absolutely goosebumps moment for me in a theater twice! So would like to post it here, but it's forbidden. :cmad:

They should definitely use the theme from MOS when Supes returns. Really powerful.

Imagine they build it up and he comes flying in smashing through a dozen Parademons as the music hits the really good bit, then plants a fist into Darkseid's face.

Hey :) Yeah i'm good thanks, how've you been?

Haha I remember that, though i'm kind of glad we didn't... after all, my heart broke and I walked out of the cinema crying and just wanted to be alone with my thoughts :funny:

Yeah me too.

I find it harder to be forgiving of MOS because there's not enough there that I like. I've re watched it a fair few times, but I don't find I get much enjoyment from the film... it just makes me unhappy, and generally I find it a bit boring and the story a bit depressing.

BVS is still continuing the same tone in a way, but there is just so much more fun to be had with the characters/story this time around. So much more that they got right. So much more of an interesting story.

And I can't see myself getting bored of re watching this film, because it ticked all my guilty pleasure boxes.

I love Lex Luthor, he's my favourite villain of all time. I love how he was written (they really understood the psychology of his hatred of Superman and his obsession with knowledge and power) and even Eisenberg grew on me on the second viewing. I loved the fact that he [BLACKOUT]found out his secret identity. And that he kidnapped his mom and pushed Lois off a high rise.[/BLACKOUT]

I love Kryptonite, and I loved how it was used in this film, and how Henry portrayed it's effects (way better than i've seen in other interpretations).

I love Clois. And they actually showed us enough to make their relationship and their love feel real.

I love Batman & Superman's friendship. And I love [BLACKOUT]the 'Martha' connection in the film, as cheesy as it might be. It was a way of saying 'we might be different, but we also have a lot in common'. And when Bruce pledged to Clark that he'd save his mom, and Clark nodded[/BLACKOUT]... in that moment he chose to trust him. I could totally see them turning into the kind of allies they are in the stories I love, where Clark actually gives Bruce kryptonite because he is the person he trusts most in the world to stop him if he goes over the edge.

I feel like they deserve more time together, I mean I can bet Henry and Ben would be up for it.

Oh man, at the moment the possibilities are many. Ben and Sir Henners both seem to have some good bro love going and obviously respect each other.

Would you prefer it first over a solo Supes film though? Suppose we will have to see what happens with JL to be able to judge where they should go with the characters.

We are really spoiled and lucky to be in this era right now :woot:
