This is a film the more its watched the better it gets, its got such amazing rewatch value.

absolutely! I've now seen it three times. My favorite scenes in the movie ironically don't involve much of Batman or Superman

Lex and Senator Finch speaking in his father's study - such a great moment of acting and dialogue

And the Senate hearing has me on edge waiting for the explosion every time.

Seen it five times and I'm going back for a sixth this week. I was gonna wait until I heard word if they might release the Ultimate Cut theatrically for a week but I need to see the film again.

Because, for the life of me, I'm trying to wrap my head around what has transpired over the last 9-10 days. This film went from number 9 on my all time favorite superhero films to number 2 after that fifth viewing. It was inevitable after that fifth one. I felt it in my bones, the greatest of this thing. And yet, here we stand...awaiting word on how WB will move forward. Utterly insane.

If there's ever a book to be written about the making of a film, inside and outside, this would be that film. What I would give to be a fly on the wall at Burbank and in London right now.

It won't give us, what the minority want...which is for Snyder to finish. Let's be honest...too much money is on the line.

If I had my wish, Snyder would do JUSTICE LEAGUE and be gone. At least he'd finish his story. After that, WB can quip the **** out of the DC Universe for all I care.

We, in this thread, ain't gonna get what we want out of this. The last week in this forum has proven this. It's just a matter of when this is all gonna go down. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow is that day.

We'll see, I guess. I've let it be known on social media for a week how I felt about this film. We're being drowned out. Let's just call it what it is.

It's going to be very, very interesting WB's next move. I ain't gonna be surprised if the hammer falls because it will fall. It just depends on how hard.

I agree that WB's next move is going to be interesting to watch. But I just don't see them firing Zack with filming commencing in literally 9 days. I can see them watching over the film more as it was implied that in BVS he had full control. But with Justice League already said to have a lighter more "fun" tone I imagine WB will want Zack to take a more straightforward storytelling approach and to focus on the "lighter" moments. Beyond that I not sure I see them keeping him for JL2, but I think it would be a mistake to loose him as a producer on the other films as he already has established a timeline of all the upcoming events etc etc

I hope they let Snyder complete his trilogy aswell.

I guess we'll know in a few weeks.

The perimeters of the story dictate that JUSTICE LEAGUE will be more straight forward film. The question is, is WB willing to take another chance on Snyder?

Yeah that's a great scene, I love the little quirks of Lex and when he's tapping his fingers on the desk and Finch holds his hand to stop it. You see he's annoyed but he sort of flinches to stop himself snapping. That's one of the reasons I loved this version of Lex, he was so unhinged.

Fingers crossed we get what we want. Lets see what the box office ultimately ends up finishing at.

I also think its important to remember that like Man of Steel this thing will clean up in Blu Ray sales. A smaller than expected take at the Box Office might not damage WBs plans. They may think that they can still "fix" the critical response for the next film and the DCEU can continue. I certainly don't think flinching will do them any good personally.

Can I just ask what the issue is exactly? Why do people feel like Snyder is going to be taken off the JL movies? This movie has been out for a week, it will most probably need to be a month before we can make any real judgement of how well it's done or not.

I went into the "BVS Box office prediction thread" and the people out there are acting as if this movie's run is over and that it's a proven box office disaster, which I really cant wrap my head around.

So many of us are going for second, third, fourth even fifth viewings and supposedly the movie is a bomb?

When I went for the morning showing today, my theater was packed, don't see it changing anytime too soon.

Also, is 600 mill in a week really under performing?

Try like 9 days.

Oh is that when its meant to shoot? jesus 9 days eh?

I just hope they don't do a Superman Lives and pull the plug at the last minute, I think one thing we can guarantee is that WBs will be putting pressure on Snyder. They will most likely want a more commercial film (although given Terrio's comments about a lighter film it may be that anyway).

They could even pull a Dick Donner Superman situation where they bring another director in to work alongside Zack. Man things are possible but I don't think they won't make Justice League Part 1.

I dont think WB can act by doing anything to Snyder right now, the shoot starts very soon and THEY required that he cut it down to 2h30 which makes it a little faster in transitions than some would like (apparently)

Since the box office is doing great, they have no argument to do anything drastic

Boy will this movie be glorious with 30 more minutes, can't wait

I know, we're getting more of it and to me its already amazing

Snyder will do JL, I don't doubt it.

And Snyder/Terrio completing the trilogy is all I need.

I don't think the rest of DCEU will have the depth of BvS, but it'll definately be affected by its maturity and the blueprint put by the Snyder and Johns. And that what will make it interesting to me.

And hopefully we will see more directors and studios dare to think differently and take risks in future CBMs and films in general.

I hesitate on thinking WB does this because WB is a talent driven studio and they've been in the Snyder business for a while. It would be kind of a sticky situation for them to Monday Morning QB this situation. I mean, having a ghost director behind Snyder, checking on his every decision?

I don't want that for Snyder. My hope, is that he's so burnt out, that he does want to finish this film but doesn't mind a little help in this situation...as long as everyone knows that this is his last film.

Again, this is weird situation.

Me as well.

the other thing I think will help JL is that it seems fairly obvious to me that when Superman returns he will be more in line with the "traditional" Superman that many critics/fans are aching for. Will it be a 100% change? No I don't think so, but it will be a step in that direction ala Gandalf's return in the TTT where he's still Gandalf but he's changed a bit.

Yes I hope so, last thing we need is for CBMs to remain formulaic, that's when the superhero fatigue will set in.

Me either but it was just a thought if they don't trust him fully.

I think no matter what Snyder's done after JL 1 as a director in the DCEU.

Me as well.

Me too

Yes, Snyder and Terrio should finish the trilogy for sure. I personally want it. It's their vision.

Just seen for the 3rd time.. Man I love this movie .. To bad people are believing the WOM , this is turning into one of my favorite CBM of all time .. The whole court scene is turning into one if my favorite, heard plenty of ppl go oh sh** on that scene ,that's what I did when I first saw it...

I agree.

I also think most of the shock/hate will go after BvS. People now know what they are getting themselves into. Also, hating on it wouldn't be as "cool" as the first time :)

It'll be lighter as Terrio said. It might not necessarily surpass BvS, but I'll be happy if more people enjoyed it while it kept MoS & BvS trend.

Haha, yeah. Everyone in my theater was in shock and my friends and I were all going WTF WTF WTF haha.

That what amazes me.

I usually find it hard to rewatch a film this many times, in a very short time, and mostly alone.

Even more so, it just gets better and better with every view!

Lots of people in here are rewatching this movie like me...multiple times.

How is this dropping so hard in the box office!!!????

I watched it last night with almost packed crowd.

C'mon people let's support this!!!

Going to watch it today for the third time. It's already a record for me. I usually watch movies only once and only very best deserve second viewing. Inception was the last movie I watched more than once.

Ok, after roaming the other threads on this board, I'm feeling kind of sick and disgusted at the pure hate and spiel and tirades being spewed against Snyder and DC and Henry's Superman etc.
Thanks a lot for your reply mate! Reading that article gives me hope that all this negativity is just being manufactured by those severely in denial.
It says right there in the first post of this thread that this is NOT a place to complain about the negative opinions of other posters outside of this thread. It also says that to do so would be grounds for banning, so I'd suggest you find a new theme, and quickly.

Straight forward answer... It isn't!
Has as already been mentioned - the haters are willing the movie to fail and are in denial of the box office takings so far!
$600mil in a week? That's success... plus the repeat viewing is strong. Only seen it twice so far, but am going again in the next few days. :woot:
The movie will end up in the top 5 highest grossing movies of all time in my opinion.
