No Time To Die (Bond 25)

BTW, re-watched DaF last night on the back of this sub-discussion, and it is bobbins of the highest order. It's like it does its best to sabotage every moment where it could excel, I'm factoring in the period of history and socially the times that existed at that point, but even then it's dated. Charles Grey is about the best thing in it (including the Dick Emery homage).

I love QoS, won't have a bad word said against it. Love the DC era, every one of his has been Bond gold for me.

I absolutely second this. QoS is criminally underrated and is very much a rough diamond. Despite the editing choices which alientated some along with the rather horrible, clanging and bashing sounding theme song that more resembled someone falling into a puddle full of wind chimes. It was very much a 'part 2' story which people couldn't quite connect with seeing as every other Bond film was pretty much standalone. I found that Daniel Craig keeps getting better in each film and he was perfect from the start.

I think with each repeat viewings people will appreciate it more...considerably.

And this really should've been the theme song

Well Die Another Day is underrated as well. Despite the bad plot, bad acting (especially from Halle Berry), awful line delivery, terrible CGI, bland cinematography, excessive continuous action in the last 45 minutes, horrible editing, boring villains, paint-by-numbers nods to all previous Bond films, dull locations, unimaginative action sequences, poor set ups etc, it's also a rough diamond as well.

I have a question: has anyone gotten this?

I was going to get it, but got confused when the reviews for it for for the ultimate version with a different cover. I assume, I want it to be, the 24 films with every single special feature on these movies such as the inside documentaries from the original DVDs back int he day. Is this it?

Quantum isn't the worst film in the franchise. Not even close. But it had an anemic story, due to the writer's strike, and it had horrendous editing. The average shot length in the film is only 1.8 seconds. Compared to the other 3 Craig films which have average shot lengths of 3 - 4.2 seconds. It's like they edited QOS while doing a lot of cocaine.

Anybody?

I got the set on Blu-ray that take you up to the release of Skyfall for the 50th Anniversary and then have added Skyfall, Spectre to the collection.

So yes or no to that thing having any bonus features?

Slightly passive aggressive there. He obviously doesn't know otherwise he'd have told you. Have you actually searched this before asking?

From a search I did it appears yes to having bonus features but no to the old DVD special features you originally asked about. The Regular James Bond Collection has the least special features as it doesn't come with the second discs for each film:

The Ultimate James Bond Collection comes with a Bonus Disc and added features but it's still missing special features for Casino Royale, Skyfall as well as the old DVD features for Die Another Day:

Hope that helps.

Aston Martin have taken out a James Bond legacy edition. This new ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera’,which references 50 years since, well, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was first released into cinemas. You may or may not remember, in that 1969 film James Bond (George Lazenby) drove a DBS. In Olive Green.

Thanks dude for the background to the question and here's my 'add', in the image of the original post, all I could see was the 'Has anybody got this ?' and a pic of the newer version of the set I'd stipulated I'd got, I got nothing of the secondary question concerning 'extra's' and transfer of said extra's on the differing sets so apologies for not providing any back-up to that, having said that, it looks like @Mach2Infinity has laid out a very detailed answer, so nice one for that.

Been watching & listening to this guy a fair amount of late, he's pretty solid in his reviews and outlook on films, his Bond choices, on the whole are on point (I let him have Goldeneye...)

The Sun newspaper claimed that crew were testing a stunt involving a fireball in a laboratory when the incident took place.

"There were three huge explosions and it’s blown part of the Bond stage roof off and some wall panels off the stage," a source told the paper. "There were three loud explosions, one after another, and a member of the crew was lying on the floor outside the building injured.

It’ll be completed and come out perfectly on schedule.

...And then I’ll get hit by a bus on my way to see it in the theatre.

Imagine if Daniel Craig quit during this film and had to be replaced by a new actor. That would definitely make the behind the scenes fascinating.

The only thing bad word it deservers is a horrible extra lol

Plus the scaffolding fight at the start is one of the most inventive pieces of fight choreography I had seen in a Bond movie when they used the ropes.
