That's a compliment though. Corp's art would be just good enough to make it to a major comic book publication.

Actually, Corp's art is better, that guy's neck should not be able to do that in the second to last panel on the first page.

Really a compliment after this...?

Wow, that's ****ty.

And then...

:whatever:

I hope GAH ends up working with you. And if he doesn't, I hope he visits you every day to whine about how he doesn't have a job. And then goes with you on your breaks and tells you how you're his only friend.:(

It's not a compliment when you say it's ****ty.
"****ty" would be a compliment for my artwork, actually. ;)

What's weird is that Fernandez did a solid job on the Punisher's MAX book a while back. Not as good as the regular artist or anything, but decent.

I'm not familiar with his art at all. This preview looks bad, though.

Corp is ok with me calling his art ****ty, therefore, it is.

Well, it's not ideal, but I lost all my self-esteem in college so I'm cool with it.

If Wolverine's claws get any longer he'll put his own eyes out.

If you want to call it that and that's what your tastes deem it as, that's your prerogative. It doesn't make it so. Especially if Corp says it's ok since 97% of artists are critical of their work to the point of being self-deprecating. It still seems like low blow to me, even for you, Darthphere; even if it's joking.

Well I'm sure Corp knows I'm joking, since I've praised his art more times than I've gotten a *******. :csad:

It's something I'm still waiting to be explained by Brevoort's increasingly ******ed covers for Bendis.

His series since becoming the Director of SHIELD has been pretty espionage driven.

Do I also see Roughhouse on that cover with Bloodscream? Of couse I do, they're partners. Granted, they've rarely done a lot outside of WOLVERINE, but nice that someone remembers them. Wasn't Roughhouse related to some Norse Trolls or something? Anyway, Wolverine used to outpunch him, so, he's not that tough (as Wolverine has no real enhanced strength and just relied on his adamantium knuckles).

Brevoort doesn't have to cover for Bendis. Joe Q does that. Everyone does that. It is part of the many, many, MANY reasons why people dislike Bendis.

As for the WHAT IF ANNIHILATION story, the question of whether the Earth would have won against the full onslaught of the Wave is of course debatable. In terms of Comic Book Logic, naturally the heroes would win. However, the Wave probably would have shown up around the tail end of the Civil War, when many heroes were squabbling over petty differences. As others have stated, Thor was "dead", Hulk offworld, Iceman and Sentry fops, Xavier missing, Iron Man exhausting the combined resources of SHIELD to arrest Luke Cage while Cap's "Secret Avengers" had to actually bust criminals like the Sinister Six, and so on. According to NOVA, the warning Richard sent the Fantastic Four was either not recieved or not taken seriously (or possibly intercepted). So by the time the heroes got their **** together, the Earth would have already suffered major casualties.

ANNIHILATION was not short of powerful heroes; most decent cosmic heroes are usually twice as powerful as many Earth based ones; I mean, in NYC, Spider-Man is formidable, but in space, he'd barely be able to fight one of Ravenous' dogs. Hulk's Warbond is sort of showing how jacked many space types are (even if I STILL can't buy that a Brood Grunt on steroids could beat Ms. Marvel). Between Iron Man, Dr. Strange, and Reed Richards, assuming none of the three were killed in the Wave Sneak Attack, they probably could have come up with some solution, or the Watcher would have broken his vow for the 8 billionth time, or so on. Even with all the heroes and aliens in Nova's alliance against Annihilus, they were no match for a frontal attack, especially as the Wave not only had bugs and some cosmic criminals on their side, like Ravenous, Thanos, etc., but also an army of superhumans from the Negative Zone. For all we know, Annihilus could have just kept many of Earth's best heroes busy with N-Zone Metahumans while the buggies tore through the rest.

Of course, for all we know Annihilus could have played devious; claiming to assist Iron Man in capturing all the Non-Registered heroes and then backstabbing him. I mean, if they were willing to trust mass murderers like Bullseye, Lady Deathstrike, and Venom to win the war, one can hardly assume Stark wouldn't have taken aid from nasty aliens.

Granted, it's comics, so the heroes would have won. It may have ended up like INDEPENDANCE DAY, though; they saved the world, but many chunks of the world are fragged, with millions or even billions dead.

The fact of the matter is it wouldn't matter if the Wave came to Earth, Annihilus STILL would have won because his sole purpose of the war was just to KILL EVERYTHING and if say Drax had been neutralized, Galactus would have still been in Annihilus' claws and he'd use Galactus as that Ultimate Weapon to wipeout 2 universes WITHOUT having to even to touch Earth.

Brilliance in essence yet lacking in practice.
