According to numerous press accounts here in Pittsburgh, The Dark Knight Rises will film in Pittsburgh in the summer of 2011.

Lets activate a local network to relay filming locations...

Cool. we should definatly stay connected as the time moves closer. Im supposed to be moving from Pittsburgh in June, but Im gonna try and stay for as long as I can. Ill be in Philly so it wont be so far away, Ill come back as much as I can. I know the city damn well so Ill be able to get around.

This is very exciting. The most exciting thing to ever happen to pittsburgh in my opinion. Its VERY huge.

Hey guys!
I'm definitely going to Pittsburgh when they film TDKR, so if anyone wants to have an SHH get-together, I'd love to!

I plan on taking pictures and video, and I'll probably stay at a hotel for a weekend.

We just need to be sure of official Pittsburgh filming dates and locations, and I'll be there.

If we want to exchange contact info (cell numbers) through PM's closer to filming, I think that would be a good idea - just so we don't get lost in the Burgh without access to SHH.

Also, I'm not mental. I'm really going, and I'm really taking photos and video. I live less than an hour away. It's happening.

Do you think it will be trouble to find out specific locations within the city? I'm not sure if you're allowed to post it on your site, but if you're not allowed... how will we go about this?

I'm assuming that WB won't reveal specific streets or buildings. So this info might be hard to get. Are we literally going to cruise the city until we see stuff, lol?

When they get down there, everyone will know where they're filming. It'll be on every local news channel. If I hear specifics, I'll be sure to let you guys know!

Film offices will tend to post street closures, and buildings will get messages about filming that goes on in or around the area so we just have to make sure we're up to date on those. I'm not sure if the Pittsburgh Film Office does so, so it might be good to keep feelers out.

Don't ever mention undies, Freeman, or crap in the same sentence again. With Nolan, it's okay though. I'd be okay with owning a pair of Nolan's undies. I bet he wears four pairs at a time. Undies layered under undies, within undies, within undies.
