I don't mind people talking about politics in relation to the comics. But frankly this has degraded into nothing but people yelling at each other.

Who do you think the other invading Super Soldiers were? Here's my guess:


The red guy Loki called "Colonel": A very PCified Arabian Knight.

The hammer and Sicle guy: Perun.

The guy in the suit: The Crimson Dynamo.

The big monster: The Abomination.

The green guy with the daimond on his chest: He looks somewhat asian. Possibly from China. Isn't there a Marvel Chinese character with a name like omposite or Comune or something like that?

The scaily lady with honrs: Possibly Darkstar.

The woman in the white suit: She looks like she may be a Speedtser. Mabey Spitfire. Or, she could be Sabra, hero of Israel.

I like that Russia is involved in this attack apparently (with Dynamo and Abomination)... since it's pretty damn hypocritical of them, considering how in Ultimate Nightmare it's apparent that they've been working on a super soldier program for fifty some years.

Yeah, but I don't think that the reason for the atack was America's superhuman defence initiative. It was how they used said initiative.

Why would Israel side with the Arabs on anything? They have U.S. protection. She couldn't be Israeli.

No, we shouldn't. The U.S. has absolutely no right to invade another country and change how it's run to suit us. We are not the world's police. We are not imfalible. We should not be the one to decide these kinds of things. Iraq was not an imediate threat to us. We had no right to go in by force and change things. If we want to see changes in the world, we have to work with the U.N. and the other countries of the world to change things. We have to use diplomacy. And we can't act like we run the whole goddamn planet.

The Abomination hasn't been around before. As for The Hulk, I don't think he would care that much, but I see what you mean. The answer is that sometimes Ultimate characters dont apear in the Ultimate version of the books they origionally apeared in. Omega Red is an X man villain, but he apeared as a Russian mercenary in Ultimate Spider-Man.

Good point. Israel is rather U.S. friendly. She probably is a speedster, and thus is probably Spitfire (although Britain is rather U.S. friendly too). Are there any other female speedsters from other countries in Marvel Comics?

i do have to say...ultimates never disappoints...i was in such 'shock and awe' that i couldnt stop reading it over and over...if anything...i think those countries had a reason to be worried about the super soldier thing happening...but when you really think about it...whats stopping russia from developing even powerful supersoliders...or asia...or europe...etc...they can easily turn on each other now...which will probably happen...and has anyone noticed...that the wasp is nowhere to be found ...come on...i read this over 20 times trying to dissect every page...and not once did i see her...after the building was crahsed down on...she is defintely the ace in the hole for this one...and if tony doesnt get off his ass and beat the crap out of the black widow...im going to be pissed...hes been p**** whipped for a while here...i mean come on...giving her a iron man armour for a gift...yeah...dude you deserve to die...you just hand her the gun and the bullets....*sigh*...but yeah im hoping captian america, thor, and the rest put the hurt on these guys...fury deserved getting an arm ripped off...and who knew better banner had a thing for ole nick...wierd o_o...but yeah...this whole issue sparked some interesting debate...that seemed to get out of hand...but thats with any thing that ppl feel strongly agianst or for...i loved all of it...and i think this would be the worst case scenario...irl to have our 'allies' beat us down...having a strong foriegn policy and being good dipolmats is always best...if you cant talk it out...war should always be yr last and final solution...violence never solves anything...just makes things worst...but thats just me babbling on on about things that might just add more fuel to the fire...so yeah...im hoping millar finish this up with a bang...and hawkeye better put the hurt on somebody...i want to see arrows going every which way but down

But here we have Iran spouting off "Wipe the Nation of Israel from the map" and we wonder why we don't want them to have a nuclear program??? Their president just said that he doesn't believe the holocaust happened. The Ultimates disarmed a rogue Arab state. I'm cool with that.

We are currently trying "diplomacy" to convince them not to do it. Let's see if "sweet talk" works.

Sorry Cyke. But Deepcut said that the world had a reason to fear the Ultimates. I disagree. Rogue nations and despots had a reason to fear the Ultimates. They took nukes from a rogue Arab country. Not from Russia or France etc...
