Oh whatever. No kid Peter's age has the style from Ultimate Spider-Man. Leave Logan's hair like it is.

Has Sony made it official yet or not?

nope. with PJ not exactly setting the world alight then lerman's fee isn't going to be a big one also people wont associate him with PJ because hardly anyone has seen the movie, in fact I think the few people that DID see the movie were spidey fans wanting to check lerman out.

You are just seeing what you want to see.

No I'm not, actually. What I saw is exactly what I described.

I was constantly waiting for the kid to show something, ANYTHING to prove he's more than a blank slate and he couldn't do that. His mother whom he loves was taken away from him and he wakes up and doesn't really even care. People keep accusing him of something he didn't do and he never says like I DIDN'T ****ING TAKE YOUR DUMBASS LIGHTNING BOLT! I kept waiting for him to show some kind of emotion or anything but he never did. He lost his mother to the underworld and he only seems to have mild concern. Kid was beyond wooden.

I love how you say that, yet even though this PJ film wasn't all that great and got mediocre performances from the more seasoned actors, you have no problem harping on about how great Tobey was. Lol, Lerman's performance may not have been great but he definitly showed more genuine charisma than Tobey did in all 3 spidey movies. Additionally, have you even seen Lerman in other films? If you havn't I suggest you stop jibber jabbering because the kid is more than capable of pulling of spidey/peter.

The movie was ****. Lerman might be a good performer in the future but he didn't show it here.

Lets remember that words being laid out here are just opinions. PJ may not have been all that fantastic but as I'm sure your not blind, there wasn't exactly a stand out performance from any of the actors. The problem seems to a universal problem throuh out the film, so singling Lerman out is kind of silly. Look to his other films and you'll see the kid can act.

Fans just like to **** on the original trilogy and Maguire because its the popular thing to do right now.

I agree to some extent. I've never understood how the fanbase could really turn on Raimi and Maguire just because SM3 wasn't to their taste but as for me, I've been dissapointed and unimpressed with Raimi's movies and the casting of Maguire from day dot.

Perhaps we should wait until Sony tells us who's the next Spidey...nah...let's continue on like babbling geeks playing the guessing game.

The better question is why Peter's hair even matters. He's had hippie hair in USM to complete dorky hair in the 60s to more messy short hair in other periods. It doesn't matter to me at all what they go with.

no sony debunk with the latest cinema source 'scoop' either;

a) they can't be bothered to debunk lerman, AGAIN

b) they haven't seen the cinema source 'scoop'

c) the cinema source scoop is actually true and they (sony) are waiting to officially unvail lerman

I really don't see why the way his hair looks is important, dude. That's grabbing for air, there. ^^

Hair? Who ****ing cares? That ASM style would look laughable on screen.

I think Gwen Stacy's death was handled better in Ultimate than in 616. Instead of a villain throwing Gwen off the bridge and her dying, resulting in Peter's one dimensional guilt. In Ultimate it's more deeper than that Gwen is a teen that has tried to commit suicide on multiple occasions, but finds comfort as Peter's friend. After her father is killed by a criminal wearing a spider-man costume she turns her hatred towards life into hating spiderman, even after learning it wasn't the real spiderman who killed her father. She feels that Spiderman is the one responsible for breeding the people he goes after. When Aunt May has Gwen Stacy move into her house this adds more guilt to Peter, he feels just like Uncle Ben he's responsible for another death, and another family member whose heart is broken. Gwen learns that Peter is spiderman and pulls a gun on him, she runs away and forgives Peter for the actions of another. When Gwen dies by the hands of Carnage at his home, that death sends Peter into a deep depression.
