Time to be a broken record again but that was another phenomenal episode. Root's definitely one of my favourites and it was interesting to see what they did with her in the episode.

Yet another amazing episode. Root is such a great character. I laughed so hard at Fusco's names for her.

I think my love for Root/Shaw is starting to rival my love for the Finch/Reese bromance.

Just when you think POI can't top themselves or add another layer to the mythology, they go and do it again the next episode. Seeing Root develop some more humanity and also Finch coming to sort of a truce with her was great stuff that you wouldn't see from an average show. I had a feeling Root would get an ear implant to allow her 24/7 access to the Machine and the way she took out Decima's goons after getting it was great.

The plotline of Decima about to get Samaritan up and running is going to be interesting to see, especially with how concerned Vigilance is already with the Machine. Another smart AI is really going to blow their minds and sets the stage for the free-for-all that Nolan and Plageman have said will happen at the end of the season.

I agree, however I think it was once off since this episode focused mainly on Root.

You can't see it in this picture, but Maria Martinez has a higher threat rate than Finch. There's also a character in next week's episode named Maria. Nice little teaser.

At first I suspected that Maria might be ''controls'' real name, however I see Controls name is there, also I noticed it says''Threat to Subject'' to only her and Peter Colier whilst the others all have ''threat to Asset'' on them.

Also the The mass casualty event 12.12% at location: 40.71448, -74.00598 Is 280 Broadway NY, NY.

I think they are pushing the Root/Machine thing a bit far personally but I enjoyed the character development for Root and Amy Acker was again superb. Her relationships with Finch and Shaw are interesting and I like the snark between her and Fusco. Looking forward to seeing her and Reese working together so we can see what that dynamic is like as right now I don't think she rates John as much more than hired muscle..

I also get that feeling, I mean all Samaratan has to do once its online is turn up the frequency level in roots new and improved"cyborg" ear and have it explode within her head.

I think you could be right, I mean the last ep had her finding a bit of humanity, and after all she has done a redemptive, heroic death seems the logical way for her to go. It would be a bold move to kill off Carter and Root in the same season though.

I see her dying at the hands of Samaritan midway through next next season though (Im guessing it would be another 3 parter just like Carters Death and should raise the stakes in what they dealing with at the end of season 4),my guess is Samaritan will probably only go online at the end of this season.

I find it amusing, I like how she doesn't spell his name out loud but speaks Shaw's name. I think she likes her or respect her more than Reese or she's just in love with her ( I felt that in the last episode, maybe it was obvious for others but I didn't noticed it until now ).

I definitely think Samaritan will be the big finale of this season despite how fast it was completing it's development at the end of the ep. Not sure about how they'll take Root out, I could see it being more abrupt as she wont be missed by the others in the same way Carter is.
