Red Dead Redemption really is a beautiful looking game, probably my favorite game from Rockstar.

I don't know what it is with other BC games but they've all looked slightly downgraded to me. Alan Wake especially. I couldn't play it because how bad dark areas (so everything) looked. Anyone else get that?

I was going to wait this Black Friday and see if the GoTY Edition would be on sale, but MS has the base game on sale and a grand majority of the DLC for free right now. I got the entire collection for about $20.

I was going to wait this Black Friday and see if the GoTY Edition would be on sale, but MS has the base game on sale and a grand majority of the DLC for free right now. I got the entire collection for about $20.

If anyone is following suit, make sure you do not buy the Golden Guns DLC as the Rockstar Social Club gives you those for free. I don't like golden skins to begin with so I didn't get that pack, only to have golden guns when I started the game anyway.

So there's a rumor that RDR will finally be making it's way to PC via a remastered version, however the Korean site that listed it also claims it will come out on PS4 and X1.

I don't really think this will happen, at least for consoles, because of the BC version that recently came out. But I wouldn't be surprised if it came out for PC.

Some people also suspect that the PS4 version will be announced at Sony's conference on Wednesday, but I'm kinda doubting that.

That shouldnt mean anything. PS4 does not have backwards compatibility so the Xbox (which has a far smaller install base) having it is no reason to not make a remaster

Besides, Gears of War was added to the backwards compatibility list just before MS released the remaster. There is incentives to get upgraded versions

Hmm, at first I blew this off, but now that I think about it, if they drop the ball on multiplayer for the next game I could totally still play this. Online was way fun when this first came out, sorry to hear about hackers but it seems common late in any game's life span. Then again some remasters don't include the online portion of the game.

I loved RDR, got the platinum on PS3, poured countless hours into it. Never finished Undead Nightmare... and was thinking of picking it up again. It's on the maybe list.

I don't know that Red Dead Redemption needs a remaster. That game still looks really ****ing good. I want a full on brand new Red Dead game. Hopefully they announce whatever this announcement is soon.

Oh it most definitely needs a remaster. The game looks rough today in 2016. I thought it was alright on my PS3 back when I had a smaller 720p TV but it doesnt look good now that ive upgraded to a larger 1080p set. They need to make it HD and if possible fix the controls bc the shooting was rough. Oh and increase the frame rate to be 60 fps bc it was 30fps and dipped at times. This is probably the biggest thing that needs to be fix bc the gameplay was anything but smooth.

If a game is in HD, it does not need a remaster/remake. It would be nice, but the only games that need a remaster/remake are those not in HD.
