Hey - some lizards HAVE poisonous saliva, ya know!!!:D Course, I wouldn't expect anything different from you, Spidey-Boy523!:p

Okay - should he MOLT then!? I bet Venom NOR Carnage do that!:D

Well, about the poisonous saliva thing....

Despite the fact that in ASM # 6, Lizard said that he had the powers of ALL the different lizards in the world, that concept was actually kind of dumb, and Lizzy never made that claim in future comics.

Obviously Lizzy doesn't have a big frill like a frilled lizard, or a super-long sticky tongue like a chameleon, or poison glands like a gila monster, and that's just fine with me. Curt doesn't necessarily have to turn into a Lizard that looks just like the lizards he experimented with, and similarly Lizzy shouldn't have TOO many different lizards' characteristics or abilities.

Let's just stick with wallcrawling, agility, super-strength, claws & teeth, tail-whipping, and MAYBE mental control over other reptiles, although there isn't really a need for that in NYC.

Yeah - if there is a reptile in NYC, I'd like to know about it. I guess that's why Vermin would be a bit more effective there...:p

The saliva thing was merely a thought...that's what this thing is all about, right? Hey, should the Lizard have the ability to blend in somewhat with its surroundings? Also a thought...

My concern is that in case we see the Lizard in SM3 people won't be as hyped to see the Lizard since we`ve seen reptiles in many Movies in the past years (godzilla, Jurassic park..)

In case that happens there must be 2 villinans on the 3rd film.

people will be hyped for Lizard b/c he's different from Godzilla and Jurassic Park's dinos.

Komodo dragons have "poisonous" saliva, but it comes from the infectous bacteria in their mouths and not poison glands like snakes or gila monsters have, so that concept might work with a movie Lizard if he were to bite Spidey or something like that.

As far as changing colors like a chameleon or anole does -- it would be a cool effect, but might look too much like a Predator rip-off. Plus Lizzy would have to be naked for it to work!

Arg. Seeing that thing with the Japanese word for "Godzilla" on its base just wounds my soul. Bleeah. The sooner that's forgotten, the better.

Well, he wouldn't be the first lizard to be naked...:p

Just the first half-man/half-lizard to!!!:D

thats how it should be. No poison stuff.

Fine by me - he'd still be a big enough challenge - hey, I got a question - is Lizard's tail prehensile? Or, if it isn't, should it be? Just wondering...

Dictionaries must suck too, huh?:D

Just teasin' ya, man. I'd be glad to tell ya. It means can his tail wrap around things, grab things, even allow him to hang from something by his tail, such as around a tree branch or street lamp? Some lizards can, and the Lizard's tail is certainly big and strong enough...

Chameleons have prehensile tails that can wrap around branches like a monkey's tail:

Most lizards DON'T have tails like this though, and since tailwhipping is a big part of the Lizard's attack, I'd have to say that I'd prefer to see him have a tail that can bend somewhat, but not curl up enough to let him hang from it like a chameleon.

More bendable than an iguana's tail, but less bendable than a chameleon's.

What about all those alligators that have been deposited in the sewers over the years? :p ;) :D

I kind of like this idea if its done carefully; subtle and not over the top. I've incorporated it into the fanfic I'm working on except its not a "control issue" as much as it is an ability to read "thoughts/instincts" and a mutual telepathic communication between Connors and his specimens.

Might not work, but its an idea I'm playing around with.

Lizzy could always stir up some trouble with the reptiles at the Central Park Zoo or the Bronx Zoo. I'm guessing the Bronx Zoo has the greater number of reptiles since it's so big, but I don't really see Lizzy and Spidey battling it out in the Bronx.

Lizard could hide out in the Crocodile Exhibit.

if he gets used. should he wear purple jeans, a black sweater and a so-so torned white lab coat?

-Ripped up white labcoat
-Black sweater
-Bluejeans or grey dress pants (Because you know that if they used purple pants, people would immediately title it a "Hulk-ripoff")

Hulk's pants in the movie wasn't purple and I kinda liked it that way.

I can't respect a guy who wears purple. Blue jeans for lizard!!

You mustnt like The Joker then ;)

speaking of the joker. the first "Batman" movie comes on tonight, at channel 1.

in my country that is :-D

In the movie, Banner/Hulk wore purple stretch pants inside the underground military base through his rampage in San Francisco.

For Lizard, the labcoat is fine during the early transformation scenes if Lizard is intelligent, but he should tear off the coat later.

He should turn once or twice. and he shouldn't die and he should rid all of the clothes at the end but keep the pants.

Oce upon a time... Peter, Dr Connors and little Billy go to a Yankees game. :o :D

There's an alleged/mythical tunnel entrance to the NYC underground in/around Central Park. (I don't think its real, but its used in fiction sometimes, like that old Beauty and The Beast TV show. BTW, I read that somewhere, I never watched that show. :o)

But yes, I think there should be a scene where the reptiles are "freed" and on the loose. Then who knows what happens to the ones that aren't recovered. ;)
