Haha Yeah, I wasn't a big fan when Peter ripped his shirt to reveal the costume hidden underneath in SM1. Peter doesn't do that; Clark Kent would do that.

THis is true. But what about the kissing scene in the first movie of Spider-man. He had a neckline when mary jane Rolled off a little of his mask.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about that scene. There was a neckline while MJ was taking his mask off. Hm...I got to go with Troy Parker's explanation.

Man you guys look too much into things. The v-neck is for promotional shots because it looks "nicer." That's it. I can't believe you guys are even thinking there's more to this.

I hate that shirt ripping scene. He rips his shirt in broad daylight with hundreds of people around. I know there's a lot of panic but seriously not one person notices. Superman should be the only one to be able to do the shirt ripping.

Explosions and gunfire from have a way of distracting you from other things.

Btw, I'm currently making a design for what the black costume could look in the reboot series

It's happened before.
I noticed the same thing in Spider-Man 3

:woot: It makes no sense. Neck part of the costume is different in two scenes when he has regular clothes on.

He's done it it in the comics, so I don't see why it's a bad thing that he did it in the previous trilogy.

It really doesn't look better... or worse. I wouldn't think different of the suit if it had the turtleneck.

We're just discussing this because we don't have anything else to talk about. :\

Unless you want to talk about the black crotch again? :P

I think just because Superman made it so iconic it seems jarring to viewers maybe. I didn't mind it, actually, but I can see why some would think it belongs to Superman.

yeah i didn't like that shirt-ripping scene either, in the comics its alright because everyone knows its done as a homage to Superman, but put it in the movie, and everyone calls 'rip-off'.

Also I wonder if he will actually wear his suit under his clothes, in USM doesn't he carry it around in his bag? thats why he has such a big bag?

Would you guys really hate it if Peter ends up using a wetsuit for the base of his costume? It would certainly explain the seams and whatnot... and it wouldn't be like he's starting from scratch, which some people have a problem with.

He could get a plain wetsuit like this, print out some designs onto it... and so on.

They used neoprene for the Raimi suits anyways, didn't they?

Every single movie changed the costume in some aspects. Even the color.

I hated the colours (the red) in Spider-Man 2... I could stand the blue, but the red looked almost pink in some scenes.

I guess you guys have different red vision than I.

Yep.

They muted the colours far too much.

As I've said, I didn't/don't mind the blue looking almost black. I think red and black looks cool. But they muted the red far too much, the colours were better in SM and SM3.

Seeing that suit makes me cry that I will never get to see it again :(

Maybe. But at least it's red, unlike Superman Returns' "muted red" boots and cape that were brown. lol
