I just hope the battle-sequences are greatly and purposely staged and not just ongoing mayhem with no strategy at all. I wanna see it cleverly executed and not just guys hurling stuff at each other and effect-less punching.

Sorry to be so demanding.

Oh, there will be effects. Special ones. :oldrazz:

Since we're waiting for the teaser. Details of an action scene in MoS?

"I have been told details of one specific scene in particular, in which Superman
breaks apart a building and uses the building itself as a weapon in some kind of ‘super martial art’ fashion. “Girders as throwing stars” was the specific example I was given.

Thoughts?

This might explain this picture. That section kind of looks like a throwing star.

Could be, but I got the idea that this was from a rescue-situation rather than a fight. Maybe Zod is the catalyst.

Yes, the other pictures that we saw did appear to be a rescue scene. It wasn't too clear what caused the situation as to the need for a rescue though and why Cavil/Clark Kent was shirtless. It could be as a result of a fight. One thing for sure, though is that image definitely shows steel girders in the form of a star and it appears that Cavil is about to lift (and possibly throw) it.

Agree, that picture looks very much like it could be part of the described scene although it looks more like he's holding the girder back, possibly crashing down on the choppa. We'll see..

How could you make that out?

We see the bank vault scene pretty clearly. And there's the scene where something is crashing into a building in metropolis. I assume that's super-powered people either smashing into the building themselves or throwing someone/something into the building.

The fit hits the shan in this movie.

We've already seen that in the comic-con footage. Twice actually.

No we haven't. We saw some object being thrown at a building causing it to explode, and Superman being thrown into a building.

I want to see someone actually be punched through a building.

Likely more a vehicle or robot due to the explosion. We'll see. Damn, that's said a lot in here.

Wow. Was just about to come here to paste the link. I say thats awesome. I can already imagine it in my head. But then again, gonna take this with a grain of salt. Just like the whole wonder woman crouching at the corner of the vault cameo rumor.

Slow-mo face punch is a must for Supes I think.
So does anyone know when the trailer for MoS shows up online officially?

Kind of an odd distinction to make on the latter. On the former, we've known we're having an epic super-powered battle in Metropolis for some time know. And they showed something getting throw into a building -- it's easy enough to put two and two together. If you're literally referencing someone getting punched and going all the way through a building (and nothing else), that's an odd, specific request. We've seen in the very first footage Superman getting thrown/punched through a wall of a building and someone or something getting thrown into a sky scraper.

I love the fact that this movie looks carnage-filled -- more so than Avengers. I mean, Avengers had a lot of action and a lot of destruction, but it all looked very cartoonish almost. Maybe it was the light-hearted atmosphere of the film or the nature of the CGI. I'm not sure. But someone said this looks like a Terence Malick film. I agree. It has that realistic quality to it. It's hard to explain.

How is it an odd and specific request? Superman was shown being sent backwards into a building and against a bank vault. That's not going through the building, it's going into it. I'd like to see him or someone else go fully flying through a building. Doesn't seem odd at all, just a request.

Edit: I see what you mean by specific, but I don't think it's odd.

You bump into all sorts of people at parties at San Diego Comic Con. They tell you all sorts of nonsense. But then, if you’re me, you note it down and then go and find out if the person knows what they are talking about.

Well this one seems to. They certainly have very good connections in this regard.

The Superman Returns film was criticised by fans for its lack of action scenes, fights, feats of super strength and the like.

No one doubted that Zack Snyder would reverse that. But I have been told details of one specific scene in particular, in which Superman breaks apart a building and uses the building itself as a weapon in some kind of ‘super martial art’ fashion. “Girders as throwing stars” was the specific example I was given.

Is it time for Superman to be cool again?

What's so funny is as I was looking at some of these Slo Mo videos, I ran across one that's by "The Slo Mo Guys" and one of the videos just happens to use the same music that was used in the MOS CC Trailer. So I got to thinking....Slo Mo (Zack Snyder)....these guys leap through the air in the video (Superman).....The same music (which starts about 1:55 minutes in) = Awesome EPICNESS. Anyways, It's just pretty neat and on a side note, the guys that did this video did the Slo Mo for the 2nd Sherlock Holmes. Anyways, here's the video I'm talking about. :oldrazz:

Agree, not necessarily odd but definitely specific. I just want kick-assery. And we've got it in spades, I think.
