Some of the posters I've seen in NYC are starting to be replaced. The huge one I saw on a building as my train was coming out of the tunnel from Penn Station into NJ is gone - replaced by Ice Age 2. Also, the ones of Storm and Wolverine high up on the building at 50th Street and 7th Avenue (Storm on one side and Wolverine on the other) are also gone - replaced by two advertisement posters (couldn't tell what they were).

Yep, I've been noticing the same thing. :(

The phone booth posters have mostly been replaced - the two Wolverine ones I saw on my way to work are now for the TV Land Awards. And Banana Republic seems to have taken over the rest of the phone booths in NYC. I've noticed "Ice Age 2" has taken up a lot of the ad space too.

The giant Wolverine billboard on 36th and 9th is still there--at least it was when I was leaving the city last night. I will be BUMMED when that comes down.

There's also another Storm billboard up by the 34th St entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, I noticed that one the other day.

It's was probably just an early promo - can't wait to see what they start putting up next. :)

Where is #12?

And someone is selling something new on EBay. They are selling 8x12 images of the 'Take A Stand' posters. They have them listed as teaser posters and say that they are printed on glossy paper. Which pretty much means that they are things the person printed off their computer and is selling. They have a couple of auctions, here is the Storm & Beast one they have listed.

They also have Jean and Angel together and that auction is going at $71. Can you believe that? I hope the people bidding know what they are buying... someone needs to report them!

No Mystery There! - Movies
This shot is from 3 weeks ago, when the weather was just perrrrrrrfect! Well, you can't really see HALLE BERRY but I think it doesn't matter so much since the sunny street is the attention getter in this picture.

Ever Changing - General
That's a 4 in 1 on Orchard street: ULTRAVIOLET, X-MEN 3, SHE'S THE MAN and THE HILLS HAVE EYES. So what is "She's The Man" about? I don't think we really would want to know... More interesting is the question why's there yet another scaffolding and hoarding? The Lower East Side will change dramatically over the next couple of years. The sheer amount of construction sites is enormeous. That's the view from my bedroom window:
Well, that's actually already 2 weeks old and I'd need to upload a new photo to show you how fast constructing in New York City goes. Boom! And another tall building is up there!!!

Take A Stand.
This should read:"Take A Stand." I bet Wolverine would be pissed, no pun intended. Maybe a little.

I saw some really funny subway grafitti yesterday on an X-Men 3 poster . The one with Wolverine leaning against a wall and the slogan "Take a Stand". Someone used white tape to make it say "Take a Standing Pee" and had a tape-stream of piss spewing from his groin and splashing on the ground. It was genious.
