Yes, he is trying to complete a hostile takeover of Wayne enterprises and Bane is using his construction company to place cement all over Gotham that is mixed with explosives. Dagget does not know that Bane is doing this and has alliterative motives from what Dagget is paying him to do. Dagget used Bane to over throw a government in Africa before so that he could secure Diamond rights in said country. This is how Bane blows up the football field, the bridges, and spots all over the city at one time. He has be doing this for months leading up to people finding out Bane is in town.

haha Name, why does Bane say "the fire rises" is referencing his fav chapter from A Tale of Two Cities or something?

Do we ever get to see Hardys actual face in the flashbacks

It is never out right stated why he says it. Evil rises is said by Alfred at one point. But it is never talked about really after he says it on the plane.

Yes, we see his face once while he is in Prison helping young Talia escape. his scarf that is covering his face is pulled off he says goodbye as he is mobbed by other prisoners. It is a brief shot of his face, less then a second.

Does Bane have a right hand man? There are a lot of set photos of
josh stewart next to him.

And [BLACKOUT]Gordon[/BLACKOUT], right? From that scene from the teaser.

Does that seem cheesy in the actual film? [BLACKOUT]It seemed like such an awkwardly grandiose way for a man in a hospital bed to speak when I saw the first teaser.[/BLACKOUT]

Also, does the [BLACKOUT]Wayne reveal to Gordon seemed as forced as it sounds (to me)? Seems like it would be hard for a cop to remember putting his jacket around a boy thirty-ish years ago. [/BLACKOUT] I also wonder whether [BLACKOUT]that flashback would take you out of the scene. Is it a quick glimpse of the scene from BB to get you inside Gordon's head, or is it slower? [/BLACKOUT]

Thanks! How old does that make bane?

Yes, the guy that turns him over in the Prologue. Just looked him up, Josh Stewart is the guy. He is Bane's Lieutenant.

When Gordon say it, he says it cause he's talking about Bane and his men rising up from the sewer's. No one but Blake believes Gordon that there is an Army under the city working in the sewers. The trailer cuts out some of what he tells Batman at his bed side.

To the person that asked if it felt long, it didn't feel long at all. Our seats are really not that great and usually after an hour and a half you can start to feel it. Not with this one, never noticed the hard seat and the next thing I knew. It was over.

Name, I won't bombard you with a million questions, but I have a huge problem with the plot holes and continuity in TDK. I know you mentioned one or two things, but is there an overabundance of them in this film?

And is the Talia / Bruce relationship useless, or does it actually add to the story?

Thanks.

Name, is the prologue more or less unchanged, except for the alterations made to Bane's voice?

Also, do you get the feeling that Bane really believes in his revolution (or whatever you might call it)? In the prologue when he nods and says "The fire rises" to his comrade who is staying on board, I got the feeling that he was just repeating their motto half-heartedly to get his men to do his bidding.

Just read a fairly spoilery review on the hollywood reporter in whih he claims the masks/hidden faces motif:

This is just one of the motifs the Nolans have used to ingeniously plot out the resolution to their three-part saga, which involves at least one major, superbly hidden surprise.

is this something we are familiar with already and he just wasnt like the
Miranda Tate reveal

or is it something new?

Just read the Indiewire review and noticed something quite interesting about Bane:

After brutally taking control of a building, he surveys his hostages, and offers one of them an almost-friendly “what’s up” nod.

The above is a review from hollywoodreporter. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED. The review however contradicts what this name person has said in a key area and that is as follows:
"Inducing Selina to take him to Bane, Batman gets more than he bargained for; physically, he's no match for the mountainously muscled warrior, who sends the legendary crime fighter off to a literal hellhole of a prison, with the parting promise of reducing Gotham to ashes. Seemingly located in the Middle East, the dungeon resembles a huge well and has been escaped from only once, by none other than Bane, who is said to have been born there and got out as a child."

This is in direct violation of what he/she has said in regards to both
ras being the father of the child in prison and that bane was an adult or young man who helped a young talia climb out of the well.

So,
either talia climbed out as a child, or bane did.

Either the reviewer is lying or ntm is lying. Which one?

question: So can John Dagett be taken as a character that was influenced by Roland Dagett with some minor changes?

Surprises don't make the movie. It's sure to still be a breathtaking spectacle; knowing plot points won't change that. TDK is every bit the good movie I saw the 10th time as it was the 1st. This spoiler 'ruining' movies idea is a tired fallacy that needs to die.

Yeah, I tend to agree.
Back when Begins was about to be released, some idiot spoiled the Ra's al Ghul surpiise by posting about it IN THE SUBJECT LINE of a post in the Non-Spoiler forum. It didn't really ruin the movie for me like I though it would (the guy was still an idiot for revealing it the way he did).

Ultra,

In regards to your question, I took it as
for most of the movie we are told that only one person escaped the prison and we as the audience are all meant to assume it was Bane, but near the end of the movie we find out that it was actually Talia that escaped. I think that's one of the twists.

Ah, dammit, I wish that Batman at least glided off of a building once!

One question this has been on my mind- for anyone who has seen the film-
Is Bruce still Bruce Wayne at the end during the whole cafe stuff, or has he changed his identity too?

From what I've read...

It seems like the whole and only point of the scene is to show people that Bruce is still alive and for Alfred to see that, but aside from that, the impression that I've gotten is that the scene only answers those two things, leaving everything else a mystery (new identity, status with Selina, etc).
