ending spoiler:

alfred found a ticket? i must have missed that. i don't know if it is supposed to be ambiguous or i am just stupid but i think whether bruce lives or not is up to the audience to decide? sure in the cafe shot we saw bruce and selina kyle smiling at alfred. i really need to see the movie again.
Huh? Everyone who has seen it has said it's not ambiguous at all. It's clear what happens.

To be fair to him, it is possible that [blackout] Alfred just thought he was seeing Bruce in the cafe,[/blackout] but I agree with you.
That would be a terrible way to end the movie. I don't want Inception part 2. I want a concrete ending. He's either alive. Or he's dead. Period.

Garretthethief, you saw this?
Can you answer these :)

1. How many times is the grappling hook used?
2. How long would you say the final chase is?
3. Does Batman get a lot of screentime?
4. Would you say this is more violent than TDK?
5. Did you like, love or hate this?

Everyone except garretthethief has been pretty confident that it's a concrete yes, he's alive.

(And Inception wasn't really an ambiguous ending, but let's not get into that.)

Someone, maybe theShape, said the film's twist are more like The Prestige than Inception.

for anyone who think i lied about having seen the movie. i saw it in Hong Kong several hours ago.
i kinda disappointed with the movie, probably my expectation is a bit too high. one of my major gripe is how bane ending scene was handled.
Ras Al Fool, unless i miss it,
don't recall batman using the grappling hook at all.

Yeah, when Name described it here, I was pissed. That sounds like a stupid way to end the final villain. Getting blasted 20 feet away by Catwoman while he is holding a SAWN OFF SHOTGUN (seriously, this isn't what Bane would do) to Batman's face.

Two-Face getting tackled while holding a pistol doesn't sound amazing on paper either. (Not that it was even amazing in the film, though, since I think the last act of TDK goes downhill after the Joker's capture.)

I think Bane's conclusion will be one of those "Holy shi%" moments. Much like Joker's pencil trick. People might even clap. This is assuming it's done well.

i was expecting an epic take down on bane, but
catwoman sassy? comment after she blast bane away is just... not how i think it would be and should be.

overall bane is just not epic enough. the film is packed (not bloated, imo). the pacing is really fast so i definitely need to see it again. i really missed moment like harvey dent holding gordon son at gun point. so intense, sad and horrifying. there is nothing in tdkr matches that.

This Bane thing is still better than

the way Loki got abruptly stopped in TA

I'm just sayin'

Yeah, but come on, the thought of seeing Bane getting flown about 20 feet away is just...stupid. And the death is uncreative.

Ras Al Fool, what worse is that:

you totally know someone is gonna show up and save batman.

Could someone answers just one thing for me?

Ra's appears as a ghost or in a flashback?

Thanks!

To be honest, this sounds so disappointing. Here are my reasons why:

1. Batman's gadgets sound like crap, and they sound really lame compared to BB's and TDK's gadgets. And he doesn't even glide off of any building OR use the grappling hook? What a joke.
2. Talia is just introduced and then about 15 minutes later she crashes and dies? What?
3. Bane's death is dumb, but I've already explained what is wrong with it.
4. The final fight just does not scream Batman to me. TDK and BB were great. How Batman fights should be like because they were dark and wasn't just a boxing match like this seems to be.
5. Ending sounds too basic.

It's very obvious and not much of a spoiler to say first Batman gets a royal beatdown from Bane, and then Bane gets one from Batman at the end.....

But would you (those who have seen it already) say that Bane's beatdown was as brutal as the one he gives Batman earlier, that Batman gave it back to him as good as he got?

Ras Al Fool, i wanna see the 4 hours cut!
about talia:
i wouldn't say she just showed up and then got killed 15 minutes later. her several scenes were short but they are integral to the plot. also her reveal was handled quite good.
batman:
yes no glide off but him jumping off from rooftop as seen in one of the trailer is really cool. also the emp gun scene rocks too albeit very brief.

to guedesh93:
i would say ghost. some dialogue form begins and some new ones.

the film just feel really rushed towards the end. the pacing and tone feels really different from begins and dark knight.

Whoa wait what? Liam Neeson plays GHOST Ras al Ghul? NOT in a flashback?
