Oh OK. I know she looks through a gate kind of, but it looks like in another scene she's looking down at something/one through jail bars. Does that fight take place in the batcave?

Name That, would you say the 1st Bane Batman fight is the best superhero fight on film? and about how long does it last?

related question:

Does bruce get his back "broken" on that bridge or does more fighting occur outside where bane and batman first see each other?

No, its her watching the fight in the sewer. It's happening below her, that is why she's looking down. They are not jail bars. Nothing happens in the Batcave.

The fight takes place entirely in the sewer. From atop on the walk way, to down on the bottom.

Oh ok. yea, I knew it probably was all in the sewer, but I was wondering how they got off that walk way bridge thingy (the part where bruce turns around and sees bane with cat woman behind bruce).

c. Small Batarangs

This is the first time I've caught a contradiction. I don't mean to doubt you, but I seem to recall theShape mentioned he didn't remember Batman using Batarangs in this film. Is their use really quick and limited?

Nolan ... wanted to create a "complete" Batman mythos

But it's not complete. [BLACKOUT]A protege who never dons the costume isn't Robin. I think this will be one of those moments that I really dislike about the film if it's true. I buy into the idea that Blake is Nolan's Robin surrogate, and re-watching a trailer earlier tonight I even noticed that I actually think JGL would make a good Robin, but "Robin" John Blake the cop just seems too much of a departure for me. He didn't need to incorporate Robin and told us he wouldn't. This just goes to show how much Nolan's "vision" has changed: first, he's telling the story of a young Batman growing with Robin still in the crib, and now he's completing the story of a Batman who only showed up for three major episodes in Gotham's history with a Robin who may replace him as a vigilante protector. There's just something that doesn't seem to click about that for me. I'm not saying that "Oh, the film is ruined for me now," but I think the Robin thing in particular adds a cheesy moment that didn't need to be there. I'm not quite sure how to express it, and I know a lot of you would be quick to point out that several other villains had major departures from their characters too. Oh, well. Initially, I disliked the Tumbler being reused in TDK (I expected it to evolve into a sleeker car like we're used to), and now that doesn't even faze me. [/BLACKOUT]

which may not otherwise be apparent given how many changes he is making from the comic book character.

I guess I just think it doesn't need to be so obvious.
Nolan tends to hit you over the head with his material when he doesn't always need to. I think it would be different if this wasn't the conclusion to Bruce being Batman; in another world where the Dark Knight Rises ends with Bruce finally being accepted by Gotham as a hero and continuing in that position up against more rogues in the future, I would be far more accepting of the introduction of Robin. In fact, I would encourage it.

Sorry for the rant. I think what bothers me more than anything else is that Robin is part of the guy's actual name instead of his alter-ego name. It seems so forced. I would have preferred a nod to the comics where Blake is known as the "Night Wing" or something to his buddies on the force, kind of like how Harvey was known as the two-faced attorney (which they really should have done more with, since Harvey doesn't come across as being too sleazy until after Loeb's funeral). I may a be a bit partial to that idea only because Watchmen's Night Owl had been a cop nicknamed the "night owl" on the force before he became a masked hero.

Why is batman shocked to turn around and see bane standing there?

I think we've been told it's because [blackout]Catwoman betrayed him.[/blackout] I really wish there were some sort of Sticky that was updated (though I understand how unfeasible this would be) so that the same questions didn't keep getting asked over and over again. It's no one's fault, because you leave this place for a day and suddenly three dozen more new spoilers have popped up. I was really shocked when I came back on here last night so much info laid before me. Lorenzo, you should search for a user named 3-D who has compiled several lists of all the spoilers Name has given us if you don't want to run through Name's long post history.

I know... me too. I'll never give up hope though. Bruce/Zee all the way FOR ME. :hrt:

I think I made it clear before that I was a Bruce/Zatanna shipper. Nice to see there are a few others on here who love the idea of them together too.
What issues in what comics suggested this pairing ?
Can I find them in Trades?
Sounds interesting.

Answer to the Batarang question in spoiler tags below
He uses them when he rescues Gordon and his men from the ice, its how he takes out the guys forcing them to cross the ice.

It is explained out of order, we learn earlier that the Prison DR. screwed up when fixing Bane after the beating. That Bane is a constant state of pain and in reality he is a morphine junkie. Didn't use those words exactly, but that was the point. Bane is released by Ra's and is trained by him, but later excommunicated from the League for multiple reasons.
