The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 1

Great news! Glad that Crudup is still on board.

Well, at least EW had the decency to update their story, not as though that means much.

Seems to me like the media tries to jump on any "DC production is troubled" story there could possibly be.

To be fair... it's EW. This didn't come from mostly unknowns like the ones who reported the JL stuff. Besides other outlets looking for clicks, EW didn't have an "agenda". Perhaps they truly heard something pointing in the direction of Crudup leaving, or heard something entirely false.

Oh good I'm not the only one who thought that was a random comment. Maybe cyclops summers meant to post in the wonderwoman thread but accidentally posted here (it's happened to me before)

As a villain I wonder if we will see The Trickster and if we do then who could play the new Trickster? Hamill did such a great job but as for who could play the new Trickster I would go with Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame

I doubt we'll be seeing The Trickster (aka "Joker-lite") early on in the Flash-verse. Maybe once the Rogues pop up in a sequel or down the line.

I could see them throwing a bunch of villains at the flash, one of them happens to be the trickster.

I don't know, I think a good director might be able to find a way to make him work

She is. But I suppose there's no reason why they can't all swap it up

Eh... There are for sure lots of superheroes, male and female from both Marvel and DC who have a dearth of villains to fight, or at least a dearth of villains that could easily be adapted to a modern CBM... Flash would NOT be one of those characters. The Flash mythos has more than enough bad guys and gals for any version of the character to tangle with. There's no real "need" to poach from some other DC hero's Rogues' Gallery.

My two cents.

Yeah, Flash has one of the best, most extensive Rogues galleries in all of comics. Ranging from Captain Cold and the Rogues to villains like Thawne, Kadabra, Grodd, etc. that could carry a film solo. Even some of the Rogues could carry a film solo, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Cold, could all serve as a films main villain pretty easily.

Exactly. The Rogues and extended Flash villains are right up there with the Bat villains and Spidey's baddies.

Gives me chills just thinking of a solo movie with any of the awesome Rogues.

Yeah. You would need to have a fun director for villains like that. Someone who can embrace cheesiness and make it work

Maybe Cheetah could be sort of the traveling pants of villains. Cheetah is the villain in The Flash, Aquaman, The Batman, Batgirl, Gotham City Sirens, Wonder Woman 2, Man of Steel 2, Suicide Squad 2, Cyborg,
The Green Lantern Corp, Nightwing, Black Adam, Shazam. A way of tying all the DCEU movies together. (probably too late for Justice League.)

I don't care about the baggage people think will follow them from HAN SOLO, given what we have seen of Ezra so far Lord and Miller spot on perfect for this character. WB should lock them down ASAP. Get this project moving.

I think the tone and spirit of the Lego Movie shows they could handle the Flash very well. The movie was a wonderful balance of humor, kinetic energy, and emotionally poignant moments.

I'm hoping things get sorted out for Flash in time for a 2019 release.
