And not kill him.

Well, they haven't killed any Jimmys yet, at least not definitively, so that's not really a concern. A CIA agent who used the name "Jimmy" as cover to play photographer died in the desert, and he even died in a scene cut from the theatrical release. So if the DCEU wants a real Jimmy Olsen rather than a faux photographer using a pseudonym, then I'm sure he would survive.

The Flash: Flashpoint Movie Recruits Drive Production Designer

http://screenrant.com/the-flash-flashpoint-movie-production-designer/

Omega Underground is reporting that Beth Mickle has been hired as the production designer for Flashpoint. Mickle is best known for her work on the Nicolas Winding Refn-directed films Drive and Only God Forgives. She’s also worked on a number of other Ryan Gosling-led movies, but it’s her work crafting the lush worlds of those two Refn projects that should get fans excited to see what she brings to the DCEU.

Gadot is riding high after starring in Wonder Woman. She will reprise in the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel and DC spinoffs including the Justice League films and the spinoff for The Flash

Gadot is also expected to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming production of Flashpoint, which will be Flash's solo movie but is also more of another superhero team-up featuring several additional DC superheroes. Flashpoint is currently scheduled to release in 2020

Really looking forward to seeing FP presented on the big screen.

Eh. We haven't had a solo Flash film and I didn't watch his TV shows, so I don't want this to be like Civil War or a Cross over event and the title is not good. My first initial reaction was oh "The Flash" title was already taken by the ongoing Cw show and didn't want to use it for the film. DC still feelz like a mess to me especially if a soft reboot is happening.

Well it depends how closely they follow the original FP story - and how many of the tie-in storylines they use. I think we'll get Cyborg, Thomas Wayne/Batman, maybe Martha/Joker - although that might take things off at too much of a tangent for one film - and the backdrop of the Amazon/Atlantean war featuring Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

Remekis still the favorite but taking meetings with others too

What's Artemis and who is Remekis?

Lord and Miller are due to direct Artemis, the follow-up to The Martian.

“Artemis” follows a woman named Jazz, a directionless twentysomething constrained by her small town, the titular Artemis — the only city on Moon. With debts to pay and a salary that barely covers the rent, she can’t say no when a life-changing opportunity drops in her lap. But she then finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy for control of Artemis itself.

"Flashpoint" is definitely an ambitious story to plop Ezra Miller as the lead. I do think that if they keep most of the story intact, WB will exercise Chris Pine's sequel clause and have him appear as the alternate Steve Trevor.

But I'm most curious as to how WB will sell the time travel/alternate reality aspect without confusing people. Like some people will see the trailer(s) and think "why is Steve back, didn't he die?" and "why is Negan playing Batman"?

That's a thought, I'd forgotten about Steve Trevor's role in FP.

I guess they'll just have to be particularly careful with how the trailers are put together.

I really like the idea of "Flashpoint" as Flash's first solo film, it's just going to require a good director to really pull off the ambitious storyline.

I'm actually surprised Gal Gadot has all these sequel options unless her agent renegotiated her contract already.

I did read that Gal signed on initially for just BvS, WW, and JL. If that's right then I guess they moved pretty quick to keep her! :yay:

I hope Zemeckis directs the film! Would be cool to see how he'd handle the dimensional travel aspects!

will there still be a solo film? will Flashpoint still happen?

I'm glad they're keeping Kiersey for Flashpoint.

So Flashpoint basically will be like a Back to the Future type film in a sense so time travelling into the past and forward into the future?
