The Amazing Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man (First Reactions: Critics, Fans) (Spoiler Alert) - - Part 11

Spiderman 3 is a mess, the worst out of the series.

too many villians cramped into one movie, Venom gets the short end of the stick and emo peter dancing- that was the worst for me

and too much uneccessary humour

they should gett a buff muscular guy to play eddie brock, not topher grace

To be entirely honest, it could have worked, they just did not need Sandman or Green Goblin 2 if they are going to throw Venom in the works. Venom is a character that needs to be the main threat while in the film Sandman actually hurts Spider-man more than any other character.

Topher Grace could have worked as Eddie and have him gain more muscle after he gets the Venom symbiote. Have it enhance him physically.

In my opinion a fourth Spider-man film could have only worked with the Lizard and basically forgetting the other films. Unfortunately 'The amazing Spider-man' did not have the set-up necessary for the Lizard to appear while the Raimi series had three films setting up an amazing relateable friendly actor as Dr. Connors.

Dylan Baker would have been perfect and a fourth film having Spider-man fight the Lizard would have given them a reason to release the Venom symbiote allowing Carnage or/and Venom to appear in the fifth film.

unfortunately, raimi wants vulture and ann hathaway as vultutre's daughter, black cat.

They couldn't decide on a story for spiderman 4 and that's why it got cancelled.

Harry's dead, the venom symbiote is destroyed.....

Peter and MJ got married....and then....?? Nothing to continue anymore

It gets boring and repeative if every raimi movie is about spidey fighting a new villian, and MJ gets abducted and rescue at the end....

which is basically what the premise of S1, S2, S3 is all about....!!!!!!

Having Peter and MJ married and have kids won't add anything new or refreshing or change anything

Had Raimi introduced Gwen in the first movie, then setting up her death in the sequel and introducing Harry and MJ in the sequel.....he would have enough story plot and ideas to last up till spiderman 4 or even spiderman 5

IGN actually serves a purpose, even if you don't read the reviews. AICN does not. Worthless.

IGN gives out awful reviews too, it is not the right place for movie reviews, for game reviews - it is OK.

It's true. IGN is just as biased as the people who comment on their site.
I remember that they used to hype up TASM a lot, but then they suddenly stopped posting articles and stuff on it. CBM was getting articles on featurettes, interviews, BTS footage etc. etc., but IGN never posted them. They would, however, post anything and everything that had to do with TDKR, no matter how small of a matter it was.
Lol even some of the people who are regular commentators say IGN stands for I'm Gay For Nolan. And don't get me started on their polls and awards....

So, does anyone think TASM will reach the 100 review mark on RT by the end of the day?

Ebert, Roeper, and Jeremy Jahns. They are my favorite critics. Peter Travers seems like a cool guy too. And there is this one guy at IGN I kinda like, too.

Jeremy Jahns is awesome. None of his reviews are cheap or biased. If he likes something, he likes it.

If Gwen dies in the next movie, I bet people are going to say "they are copying TDK by killing off the love interest."

Well, there will be comparisons.

Joker kills Rachel.

Green Goblin will most likely be the one to kill Gwen.

If there were comparisons regarding the "tone" of "teh gritty" for a LONG, LONG time, then there will be comparisons with that.

Didn't Connors say "I'm a physicist, not a biologist." in Spider-Man 3?

Yes.

Oh man I feel sorry for Andrew. If you go to google and put in Andrew Garfield, the first thing that pops up is "Andrew Garfield gay". How the hell is he gay if he's dating Emma Stone? That must be old or something.

Yes.

Then how would he turn himself into The Lizard? :lmao:

There was no need for a muscular guy, since Venom's strength has nothing to do with Eddie's muscle. Raimi wanted an actor, not some muscle-bound non-actor. He also rightfully so- wanted a mirror of Peter Parker.

Just google "beard" next time. :cwink:

Seriously though, any "pretty boy" actor has to deal with gay rumors. I doubt he is, but I really couldnt care less. All I care about is their acting ability.

I don't think someone else playing Eddie would of helped SM3 at all, he's only in like two scenes before he's Venom.

Exactly. Their orientation doesn't interest me.

I thought Topher Grace did the best he could with the given script. It wasn't his fault lol

I thought it was OK, since he was basically "Ultimate" Brock, but I really don't like Grace much. I didn't like him in Predators either.

I wonder who will play Brock in the future. I feel like they will go with the Ultimate version rather than having a body builder.

Remember when everyone thought that Vin Diesel would be playing Venom?

I don't know if anyone else thought this, but Ultimate Eddie Brock looked kind of like a stoner to me lol

Yeah, acting ability always trumps physicality.

I've always been in the faction that swears Grace would've been a great Peter Parker, though. :o

I can definitely see Topher as a Peter Parker. His performance in 'That 70s Show' really proved he would be a really good Spider-Man.

Rumors are always biased against any actor who looks good, it must be tough for actors to ignore such comments.
