Now, none of you guys start any MCU vs. Fox debates here. I don't care about that nonsense.

First of all, a big  to the concept art nonsense. Man, that was hard to sort through after being AFK for a few hours.

LOVE the SW look and Quicksilver puts the DOFP version to shame. The hair color doesn't really surprise me. Didn't ATJ say a few months ago that he wouldn't have platinum hair?

He didn't outright say it, but it was heavily implied.

Those look like Ultron drones that QS is plowing through. I think that they may be to this movie what the Chitauri were to the first movie (mindless cannon fodder that give the Avengers a chance to cut loose and show off their powers/abilities).

Yeah, I remember there being some debate about whether or not the "Ultron Army" would show up, or whether it'd just be a single killer robot with the Avengers dogpiling; seemed pretty obvious from the start that they'd do the classic cannon fodder route.

Can anybody find a link to this interview?

Here's what he said:

“That’s what we’re in talks about really, right now – how I could become that character and not feel forced. I might not look right with white hair, and the accent may be wrong… it just doesn’t work like that… It’s about – unless you’re Jim Carrey or Nic Cage and go ‘This is the character’, people go ‘OK, OK…’ When people haven’t been shown your range like that, then they’re a bit more skeptical – they may not want you to push the boundaries in that way. But that’s what I’m interested in as an actor…”

There's none of that going on here. Plenty of it in the DoFP thread though, as usual.

And let's keep it that way.

I just ranted about this nonsense over there. Just waiting to see who bashes me. In a basic nutshell, I say that I am a fan of all of the Marvel (Fox, Sony and MCU) and DC, but my position has been made clear that I am a non-CB guy, so I can enjoy all of the superhero films regardless of the company or the studio.

It'd actually make a pretty cool and iconic moment if Quicksilver gets white hair for running too fast while trying to save Scarlet Witch.

I'm thinking that maybe his hair turns silver near the end of the movie. Maybe as a side-effect of using his powers much more than he had before, or running too fast.

Knowing Whedon, even if Quicksilver doesn't have white hair, there'll be some reference to it. A joke or something.

I was thinking that really pushing himself beyond his limits would be a cool way to do it, although I'm not really that bothered that it isn't white to be honest.

Maybe Ultron puts him in a torture device or some scenario where he runs so fast it causes extreme duress to his cells, causing his folicles to turn white.

I already mentioned tickle torture. No one thought that was a good idea.

This, if something like that happened then cool. If not then also cool. Really works for me either way, loving his concept look. LOVING. And SW is looking mighty good as well.

Well I hope they're better than the Chitauri.

I'd think Ultron inhabits each drone, no? Then it would be like they're battling an endless supply of the same, taunting villain, rather than a mindless hivemind a la the Chitauri. It'd be a good way to mix it up at least.

The Chitauri were fine. They were Loki's cannon fodder and they served that purpose just fine. It'd have been a really anti-climatic climax without them, all six Avengers kicking Loki's ass and all that. Besides, I don't think that they'll be exactly the same, simply that they'll be the excuse to show off the Avenger's full abilities again.

Oh I didn't want them out. I think every Avengers film will need some type of drones or allies to the main villain to fight due to the vastly different powerbases each of the Avengers have. I was just hoping they'd be cooler.
