Regarding the wakanda tease:

Now Devin Faraci of Badass Digest has gotten some small tidbits that will once again bring the Black Panther/Wakanda rumors back to life. In Badass Digest report he teased the following:

“What if I told you that Age of Ultron invokes Wakanda as Ultron gets his comic book famous vibranium shell?”

The Black Panther rumors seem to all coming together. Just the other day rumored frontrunner Chadwick Boseman tried to play off that he knew nothing about Black Panther while smiling the entire time.

I'm calling it now. Captain America: Rise of the Panther 2016. (That will most likely not be the title.)

I can see them adding Panther into Cap3 along with Falcon, but after the success they've had it'd be sad to see they still aren't confident enough that people will go see a movie with a nearly all black cast. If anything, this is their change to prove that notion false. They can do some big things in cinema if they put out a successful black lead movie and female led action movie.

yep. there might be limits on it though. it came up in Fraction's Defenders series. he's much much older than he looks; canonically born in 1930. maybe it's just that magic slows the aging process; like Gandolf.

Gandolf? Is he someone who hangs out with Gandalf? Or his he on the Invengers with Black Window?

Agreed, it'd be terribly sad. Marvel is in the best position ever, by far, to make action/blockbuster movies with leads who are not white males happen. If they aren't willing or able to, I highly doubt any major company ever will be.

It's awfully easy to risk money that doesn't belong to you. Are you willing to pony up $200 million of your spare cash to fund a Black Panther or Ms. Marvel film? Put your money where your mouth is.

I'd really rather Panther be introduced in his own movie. They can use Wakanda, just don't show T'Chaka or T'Challa.

If I had 200 mil and the international praise Marvel Studios is getting I might take that gamble. I mean they're putting out a movie with a freaking talking space raccoon and giant moving Tree, would a female led action flick or Panther movie really be the thing that frightens them regarding what the public will accept? I think not, and I think we will see both of those things in the near future from Marvel, but if they do think those projects are too risky financially then I say shame on them for not being that company that makes them successful (which I think they could and would.)

But yeah, you're point still stands, this is a business of making money and history show those two things = not money. I just think Marvel could be the studio to make it work. Plus I selfishly would love a Black Panther movie, I'm not a comic reader but any of the animated stuff involving him I really enjoyed the character and his world/stories.

I think a T'Chakka name drop would be cool. Establish that he's the kind of Wakanda and he's the one allowing them some Vibranium or whatever. Then have the whole story of T'Challa having to replace him in a solo BP flick.

I guess if they feel they can't fit a Panther film into what's in store for Phase 3 I can understand that. No need to put in a film just to please some people if they have a better story that fits what they want to tell as a whole. Same for Carol/MsMarvel/CaptMarvel film, if its not going to fit then leave it be, but her whole story and the Kree relations I can actually see tying into phase 3. I don't know much about her story/stories though, does she have a strong enough history or comic stories to give a good orgin story and content to add to the future films in a Phase?

I think a Black Panther film could be made relatively cheaply, if they set it mostly in Wakanda, use say Killmonger as the villain there isn't much need for a lot of CGI. The film could be made really well with a production budget of well under 100M.

Personally I would put BP into another film though, but that's just cos I'm not a huge fan and have always preferred him with others than solo.

Black Panther and Hawkeye team up film!

(Joking but I'd love to see that haha, not sure how it would work though :) )

It makes no sense that they would be able to make a Guardians of the Galaxy movie and not a Black Panther movie.

I don't think T'Challa will physically appear in this film. Leave the casting to whichever director helms BP's solo flick. That is unless they want to make another risky decision like Ruffalo (which I don't mind, but I'm more interested in someone else making the final call). Whedon casting Ms. Marvel is fine because I don't see her getting a solo film for a very, very long time. Plus, Ms. Marvel is way riskier than BP and female characters are his thing.

I love it when a MCU movie is filming and we just get pages of new threads everyday with speculation and sometimes awesome pics from the shoot. Truly a great time to be a Marvel fan boy. I have a feeling Joss is going to blow people away with this one! In Whedon we trust!
Yes! I really think it's going to be a lot better than the 1st film. And for both films, there's few others that can match them for the awesomeness of their set videos.

Newest Addition to the Avengers... Natasha Fenestra, otherwise known as Black Window:

black-window.jpg

looks photoshopped.. why are there no natural curves? also too much black to produce artificial slimming effect

Here we go again... people thinking a blank panther movie isn't being made because people at Marvel are racist and sexist.... :whatever:

That Blank Panther is awesome.

I was thinking about what Whedon said... to bring characters whose powers could look nice and different on screen, like the Maximoff's, Ant-Man and the coming Dr. Strange. I would love to see Ms/Captain Marvel and Black Panther on screen but, at the end of the day what makes them so much different from Captain America?

Characterization and background. Whedon's comments were specific to Avengers, in that he didn't want a bunch of people in the movie with the same powers. Feige already mentioned in multiple interviews that the Avengers roster would change frequently over time, so we'll probably trade out some of the current Avengers and replace them with BP/MM.

I'm mostly interested in seeing their solo movies.
