I hope so too, Falcon combined with Whedon´s humor, that would be great, but I have the feeling he is going to be mentioned in the movie, like "he is out there trying to find TWS, while I´m here saving the world from Ultron´s threat" and that will be it :(

He probably won't even get a mention.

"Heavily rumoured and hinted at"? Cheadle has never denied been in the movie. He confirmed it in an interview months ago

Yeah but this is the first time it's confirmed he'll be wearing the WM suit. I hope he'll get some good screentime.

Anyone else kinda concerned for Quicksilver in this movie after seeing Evan Peters' portrayal in DOFP? And ATJ's piss poor performance in Godzilla?

Quicksilver is less important than his sister. It is Elizabeth Olsen's performance that will be more intregral to the film. I think she will be great.

All he has to do is act like a dick. Anyone can do that.

He denies it on Twitter

Are they accusing him of being Wardell1 or Wardell2? Because Wardell2 is a different person & completely untrustworthy. Not sure if this person denies being "Wardell" or "Wardell2".

If he's Wardell2 he would deny it. Wardell2 is just a liar. He's a con man. Not even a "con artist" like Garrett or the first Wardell... He started all the multiple account stuff, and was stupid enough to admit to people that he wasn't the first Wardell.

Wardell2.

Lol, I'm not sure yet if this dude is Wardell2. But yeah, Wardell2 was asking people if they were the real Wardell.

How could Falcon not at least be mentioned in AoU? He's supposed to be with Steve searching for Bucky. I'd expect Steve to at least make a passing reference to him.

Maybe Falcon will be continue looking for Bucky while Cap joins The Avengers again.

^^^

this is probably what's going to happen sam looking clues about where bucky might be so I would be surprised if he doesn't get any mention

I'll bet that Rhodey's gonna have a geeking out moment with Cap or there's gonna be a throwback to Iron Patriot.

Or Sam could be back at his job counseling vets while Steve is off battling to save the earth from evil robots. I don't think it would be a good idea to send Sam out after Bucky. What might happened if he found him and they came face to face. Last time Bucky tried to murder Sam and as far as Steve and Sam know nothing has changed him. Neither know Bucky pulled Steve from the water or that he was visiting the Smithsonian trying to remember.

The movie ended with "When do we start?." They smartly cut off the "now" that was shown in early TV spots.

Bucky has probably mellowed a bit since TWS though. Its not like hes going to want to go back to HYDRA after saving Cap. Would be kinda weird wouldnt it?

I think Cap woke him up from his brainwashing, sorta like Black Widow did to Hawkeye in A1.

It would be cool if we next see Bucky hiding out somewhere trying to learn about what happened to him, and reassimilate into society (a First Blood type deal). Then Cap finds him and they talk instead of fight sorta like the scene with Col Trautman and Rambo at the end. How many times can they have a violent face off? That was done already.

The same way they didn't mention Hawkeye in TWS. It really boggles my mind why so many people on here need an explanation or a mention of these other characters. Why does everything need an answer or explanation? As a fan you can't come up with something logically in your head? They're off on another mission, in a different country or something etc. Thats what I do. If they happen to eventually explain it then fine, and if not I just think of the most logical thing in my head. Common sense, it helps.

We also have to remember these situations in the movies only take place over a few days usually. Everytime something happens to Tony or Cap etc, they cant call Hawkeye or Thor back to help. Theyre off doing their own things.

Exactly. And it's just the same as the comics. You don't always constantly see all the other heroes showing up to help. You need to have time where the one hero needs to handle things themselves. I really find this complaint by some and their absolute need for explanations and answers kind of weird. It's very easy to logically think of something in your head to fill that void of an explanation.

I thought they mentioned hawkeye being on a mission in TWS? 2 guys were talking bout parking lot or something like that. I must watch that part again

(Firefight going on, Winter Soldier is shooting everything up, chaos everywhere)

Cap (dials his cellphone to call Tony for help)

Tony: Chello?

Cap: Tony! Steve! I need some help here buddy!

(we hear muffled talking but can make out the name "Pepper")

Tony: ....Im sorry youve reached the Life Model Decoy of Tony Stark *phone hangs up*

Cap: You *****!!

They didn't mention him by name but my guess it was a small nod to Hawkeye.

Bottom line he was on a mission elsewhere. Just like he and Natasha weren't together in Iron Man II or Thor or the start of Avengers.

In TWS Steve knew he was being monitored by SHIELD and he was smart enough to figure out every known connection was as well. He doesn't call anyone at all on his phone.

SHIELD is tapping everyone's communication - heck they're even spying on Steve via twitter. Steve knows his place was bugged - supposedly by Fury who also had Agent 13 - guarding aka spying on him.

Steve joins up with everyone in person - Nat in the hospital, Sam's house w/o calling first (and Sam is a new friend who SHIELD wouldn't be monitoring) and then Maria Hill pops up and takes them to Fury. The only call made to anyone is Fury to Hill right before he's ambushed.

The entire film also takes place reportedly over four days and less than a day after they know HYDRA is involved.

When I rewatch the movies now, I can see how much SHIELD was like HYDRA. They were almost like villains themselves in ways.

When we last saw Steve, he and Sam were going off to find Bucky. If Steve shows up in AoU and doesn't even mention Sam, people who saw TWS are naturally going to wonder where the heck Sam went and why he's not with Steve when he's supposed to be there. He should be at least mentioned for continuity's sake because he's part of Steve's storyline now.

All we'd need is one line or a scene of Steve talking on the phone to Sam about what's going on. That's all.

And why would he talk about Hawkeye? Hawkeye wasn't with Steve at the end of Avengers, was he? There's no reason at all for Steve to refer to him or any of the other Avengers. They aren't part of his story.

Im really glad Clint/Hawkeye will be more a part of this movie. Jeremy Renner is a great actor when hes got good material, so he should be really cool in this one. I think we'll all be big Hawkeye fans after AOU. Im hoping he becomes the guy from the comics, a real badass character with depth. Last film wasnt enough for me to feel like he was a major player. He was decent but it felt very lightweight for being an Avenger.

Well...one thing about Hawk...he was SHIELD ...so him being a member of SHIELD...his whereabouts needed to be mentioned....just for the sake of mentioning it... Fury could've said i had Clint check something out for me in Europe or something....but his absence in the fall if SHIELD should've been mentioned
