^^ It is weird that it took all this time for it to happen. Edgars been working on the film since 2006, to have him be replaced at this point makes no sense. Wouldnt they all be together by now on how Ant Man was going to be done?

I'm guessing it was both people's faults. The studio probably had some more changes to the script to fit it more into where the MCU is today that Wright didn't like.

Wright was probably not moving fast enough with production. I mean AoU is already filming and yet we haven't seen anything from Ant-man even though it's scheduled to release a few months later.

Support for who? Edgar Wright? But if Marvel somehow secretly consider Wright in the wrong, then Whedon shouldn't publicly be seen to support him since he is employed by Marvel himself.

He knows what happened probably far better than any of us and im sure he knows what he can or cannot twitt about and what his obligations towards Marvel are.

Steven S. DeKnight (another Whedon colaborator, by the way, worked on Buffy and Angel) will suceed him as showruner. Goddard, who aparently wrote the first two episodes, will stay as consultant and executive producer.

People should accept this and just move on. Edgar Wright has made a few fun movies but hes not the grandmaster of cinema.

The crazed Wright 'stans may be outraged but his being on the project didn't sell me on it. The thing about this mess that annoys me the most is that Wright's ass-dragging has prevented Hank & Jan from being in The Avengers. Hank has been denied his rightful place as Ultron's creator, which is a freaking shame. I only wish they had fired Wright years ago so that Hank could be in AOU as he should have been.

My thoughts exactly.. I dont have any attachments to any director and this is because I dont know their works that well... Living outside the US means that you tend to hear only about directors when they get awards or when they deliver a monster hit

The filmmakers for the MCU should be specially picked so that theyll work with the suits and the other artists successfully. That way we wont have to go through this again.
