There's one guy here who joined in March and already has over 4,500 posts. Mighty Ally is a slowpoke by comparison. :cwink:

I don't see why Marvel doesn't just release the darned teaser. What is it going to spoil?

This.

They released the SDCC teaser for the first movie. I don't see why they are keeping this one a secret.

It really feels like Marvel just decided to release nothing whatsoever from films based on their characters.

No DOFP trailer.

No GOTG trailer.

No Cap 2 trailer.

No ASM2 trailer.

No Avengers 2 trailer.

Jokes on them because most of the footage leaked.

Would've been better off releasing it officially.

They don't control the DoFP and ASM2 releases.

As for the others, all they had were sizzle reels, which weren't meant to be actual trailers since a lot of the footage wasn't finished. And the joke is definitely not on them. With so many people talking about it and trying to get their hands on leaked footage, the word of mouth is doing wonders. The only thing we might get officially is the AoU tease, but even that is doubtful since the design for Ultron is surely not final.

Yup, the fanboys are in a rabid state for info on their movies right now. MS just keep giving us little tastes building our anticipation. They know what they're doing.

So I was watching Iron Man 3 last night and one scene stuck out the most to me. When Tony's house is attacked by AIM and he is stuck underneath the aftermath under the water, JARVIS takes over and save Tony from dying. I thought that was significant because the A.I. that JARVIS took an independant decision of that magnitude and saved a human life. I think this scene will connect with the possible theory involving Stark, Ultron and JARVIS.

No, not really. JARVIS makes independent decisions all the time when it comes to the suit.

It was not even that independent. JARVIS used the pre attack flight plan Tony ordered.

.... you do realise Avengers 2 filming hasn't begun, nor close to beginning right?

So given that Ultron is the main foe in the film, is it safe to assume that Thanos will be used for Avengers 3?

It certainly is being speculated that way, I think it would be great to litter Thanos appearances in Phase 2 and 3 as a build up to Avengers 3.

maybe there is will be more than one villain in Avengers-2 someone who is marvel keeping under wraps but Ultron will be the main villain of the movie .

Well I hope that he's definitely in Avengers 3; especially since it's not guaranteed, let alone likely, that the big three (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor) will be returning after that since that would have been their six and final contracted film for Marvel Studios.

And given that this film is bringing in the likes of Ultron, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch, while retaining all 6 Avengers from the previous film, they can't really add any more people without more characters getting the short changed and it's going to be tough handling the current amount of characters that they have, unless they make this film almost as long as a usual LOTR film.

They're not releasing any of that stuff because it's all rough, unfinished footage. That's fine for SDCC because the fanboy crowds know that and don't care, but they to be polished off before getting a general audience release.

All of those movies are also 1-2 years away so there's no point trying to promote them to the public now anyway.

Plus, aren't the effects of the SSS on Steve more drastic in the movie universe than 616, closer to his Ultimate self? Ultimate Steve is definitely super human.

Yep. I'd say the movie version is about halfway between the two. The 616 version is closer to where movie Black Widow is, at least if you gave her an indestructible shield and about 100 more pounds of lean muscle.

Supposedly Cap 2 has him doing a no parachute high altitude jump. Granted its into water, but that still might upgrade my assessment of him. Even as is, though. . . well, to put it one way, I don't buy the 616 version catching up to a mini sub by swimming, then punching out the cockpit window of said sub with one punch.

While underwater lol

It always stuck out to me during the Avengers when Tony is told about the nuke he tells JARVIS to route all power to the thrusters, JARVIS replies "I already did"

Just like how he anticipates what is needed, I agree whether you call that independent thought is up for debate.

Also liked how he knew to try to call Pepper when they were heading towards the wormhole

I can almost guarantee Jarvis will become self-aware or corrupted and becomes Ultron. It really makes sense in this universe that Tony is the creator of Ultron. And look at it this way, Tony gave up being IM at the end of IM3, so when Jarvis goes rogue, it gives Tony the reason to don the suit again:D

No comment on that lol

unrelated to Ultron. Joss said Thanos was never the villain of the avengers sequel. However, back in april, when asked about the sequel, and Thanos, he said "you want him threading through the universe"..and "he's definitely a part of what I have going on"....what I have going on, being Avengers 2, because Avengers 3 isn't officially announced?

So does this mean we may get bits and pieces of him? Or a lead in? Kind of curious, he couldn't have LIED about that.

You're right. As Whedon said in the commentary, he didn't want JARVIS to be this prissy C3P0 type. When Tony and he are in the thick of it, they act as one unit almost.

I think with a billion and a half in tickets, not to mention all the after the theatre profits (bluray, syndication, merchandise ect.) that A2 and A3 were a given. Feige knows that the x factor for the huge success of the film was Joss' involvement. I know that MARVEL has a rep for treating it's directors as guns for hire, but I think Joss is in a different category.

I never thought Thanos was gonna be the villain to A2....the team isn't powerful enough to fight him without Thanos getting majorly downgraded.
