Action-Adventure The 'Back To The Future' Appreciation Thread - Part 2

Both Gale and Zemeckis have said that there will never be a sequel or reboot as long as they are alive, but as we've seen with other things, they are open to reviving the franchise in other mediums, like that musical and video games.

Hypothetically..... at this point, I would do a trilogy of movies, set in that universe, with the same method of time travel... the tone is the same, as is the sound track and aesthetics, it's a spiritual successor. Unofficially.

It doesn't need to be labelled back to the future, but it can be heavily inspired by.
That way we have new material, new ideas, new story, cast and crew...

Think about it, anyone can say they spoke to a guy and he gave me this secret to a time machine, they don't need to use the same names.... they get a car, it goes fast, boom, time travel.

It could even be 3 teens find a car running, abandoned... they use it and it time travels... they don't need to show anything else like 88 miles per hour... or maybe..... 145 km

Now, would that be copyright? maybe not... frowned upon... maybe, who cares... there are soooo many movies that rip each other off...

Then a cameo by Christopher Lloyd in the background - it's a way to move on, yet stay close.

The car??? maybe a classic, maybe something unexpected... maybe the car is not the focal point so much...

That's what I would like... call it a homage, a reboot, call it a retcon, call it whatever you like, but more movies of that ilk would be good...

For me, I would like it that a couple of teens find a car, with ignition running... they get in, sit around, then drive it, they appear elsewhere, totally different time period, they then change the dials, go back further.. go to the future, they have some fun. Trouble is, in the future they realize a catastrophe happens, so they learn how it happened and they then go back to try and stop it from ever happening... do they succeed...

"back in time"

scored that Transformers Gigawatt figure from my local gamestop he and other collectables and toys were on sale I got him for a tad over 25 bucks with tax, take that you scalpers ha ha ha.

I checked two historical items regarding the BTTF series

1. The Honeymooners episode the Baines family is watching that Marty knows as a rerun, did not air until December of 1955

2. In part II, when old and young Biff listen to the football game on radio, the date and score are correct. UCLA did defeat Washington 19-17 on Nov 12, 1955 :hehe:

I hate Hot Toys they always leave me broke. I got all their Superman stuff.

I only have the 1985 Marty from them but he was a gift from a very good friend for my birthday he's awesome

the racing to get up to speed to me is just as climatic as the delorean racing to the clock tower to get back to 1985 both are equally epic and I still get on the edge of my seat near both finales.

Don't know if these have been posted before, but I watched them recently and I consider them to be all the 'sequels', 'trilogies' that we will ever need to this franchise. I'll take video game and fan fiction over a money-grabbing Hollywood 'reboot-reimagining' any time of the week.
