THE BATMOBILE THREAD

Sooooo what? He’s Bat “man”. The point is that HE resembles a bat.
It's called the BATmobile. It contains bat design elements, traditionally. Such as wings.

I was also just making a joke, but if we're actually going to delve into it, there are arguments to be made which are valid.

I personally like it as is.

I think it can work but in all honesty I think this movie is already over stuffed. But I am just trying to keep an open mind to everything regarding this movie. Really I am just waiting for them to do something with Superman.

over stuffed because there's 8 characters? or because he has a car and a bike? We know nothing of the plot or story, so that seems like a premature gripe.

As cool as Keaton's was - how did he and Alfred make that?
Nolan, made sense, but was not cool to look at.
Batfleck, cool to look at but nothing special.

My money is on the car looking something like these....

This looks too generic, his car, at least in recent years has always looked a concept car.. something unique. Think stock cars in the UK

Something Bruce and Alfred can work in their shop/garage and something that wouldn't be traced back and not too expensive to maintain

Let's be honest, you put those on set pictures, with the stunt rider on his bike, next to a mat black finish one of these and it would suit... not saying that's what I want or would like, but it seems plausible.

so.... yeah... anybody want any more production hints??

Pretty much my sentiments :oldrazz:

I don't see much of 60s Batman in the car either. Not that I'd hate it if I did.

A bunch of kids never saw a Bamobile in times before Burton. Most of those were just regular cars with some extra elements like bat wings.

I get that a lot of people are used to radical designs of live action movies and free to dislike the new approach, but come on. Acting like this is not Batman... Or some early design that will EVOLVE (preferably 10 minutes into the movie).

Well... It's not another "tank-car".

So... There's that.

Outside of that... Eh.

Skirts are completely at ground level.

Fugly. If it's an "early attempt" at a Batmobile, I can take it. There better be an improved version later on.

It’s all good. I picked up on the sarcasm. Honestly, it would be even cooler to just have the Bat symbol on it somewhere. While I do like wings on it, they aren’t necessary at the moment knowing that this will be a trilogy. My favorite part of the Batmoblie has always been the afterburner, personally.

I mean, they both have rockets on the back and red lights in the middle on top. That's...that's about it.

The thing is, batmobiles before Burton were mostly customized cars, or concept cars, of that specific time. If we're really going for that approach, maybe they should've used a current car to customized, or upcoming concept cars, or even something military grade if he's waging some war on crime. You'd think a supposed billionaire can do better than stealing Dom's car from the FF series. I mean is he supposed to save the city, or enter as a contestant on Netflix's Hyperdrive?

The Fast and Furious comparisons are throwing me. Are those movies the only context that exists for cool muscle cars in cinema? Haha.
Maybe, maybe not, but for the casual moviegoer who don't watch every single movie, when they think custom muscle cars, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the FF series. That or Mad Max.

Like I said I am open minded. They just choose to follow visually my least favorite interpretation of Batman and that's Adam West series.

I mean, the car looks like a 60s muscle car (which wouldn't even line up with the Adam West comparison, as that was a '55 Futura), but what else here reminds you of the TV show? Pattionson isn't wearing grey tights and a mask and cape made of satin. He isn't teamed up with a partner in panty hose. There have been no reports of shark repellents or "POW" and "BANG" graphics that will flash onscreen during the fight scenes. The 60s show was a joke (I like it, but it was basically a parody of Batman). I really don't see how you're getting this from what little we've seen so far.

Max's interceptor is definitely a vibe I'm getting here, and I really dig it.

The Mad Max comparisons is also something I didn't notice at first but also can totally see. so damn cool

Not in the late seventies and early to mid 80's, an era that this is clearly drawing from. Many of the designs of that era were essentially sportscars or muscle cars with vague bat motifs (or the bathead feature).

Yeah i dont like this. They did the impossible in that they made a bad batmobile. I have liked ever movie batmobile before this one but this one looks like trash. So now we have a bad actor for playing batman, a bat suit that head part looks off and now a bad looking batmobile. Yeah i am not felling this at all.

LOL, a bad batmobile is that abomination that Snyder made.

Those fat curvy fenders are more than necessary to make this a Batmobile... it also reminds me a lot of the one in the mid ‘90s that maybe Kelly Jones created.

What? That's basically what I said...
