The only crime he'll be making pay is $2.50 for a can of beans.

This is going to be a gritty detective story with bat****(pun intended) gadgets. That sounds awesome.
I’d love a good Batman film that aesthetically resembles the comics one day, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other interpretations that can’t be awesome. Batfleck proved comic aesthetics don’t inherently equal a good film.
They're really going for an industrial look to the film aren't they? Seems like something Bruce made at a mechanics shop.
Who remembers the Alfred the Mechanic rumors way before "Batman Begins" was proposed?
I can just imagine how filthy that Batcave is going to look.(I do wonder as others have before me, if this batman is just a poor ass millionaire, instead of a confortable billionaire, and that informs the design choices of the vehicles and suit??)
Bingo was his name-oYeah, but what about this betrays the comic books!?!
Sometimes I think people should read MORE comic books (and from different erase), because this definitely looks comic book inspired.
It's as if people only saw panels from about four or five comic stories and think they've got an idea on what looks faithful and what's not.
Not really directed at you, but I've seen similar arguments be made waaaaay too often.
Even with The Dark Knight, for example, many people would claim that it felt nothing like a Batman movie, but probably have no idea about many Batman comic stories having a down to earth, realistic style, with none of the gothic/stylized elements often attributed to the character, set in a Gotham City which looks like a regual, real world metropolis.
The comics, just like the movies, have had such vastly different styles, even when we're only talking about the ones which feature a "more traditional" Batman.
So how is this Batmobile not faithful to the comics, when I've seen plenty of similar Batmobiles in the comics over the years!?!?
I'd say most supporters would argue that's the point. Its very generic looking. Its not ugly. I just look at it and go meh. Nothing about it looks impressive. I mean at certain angles it could drive right past you at night and you wouldn't bat an eyelid. Pardon the pun.

I mean this thing probably can't even jump on rooftopsNice to see Bruce saving some pennies, lol. Seriously though, I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but this again looks kinda average. I come back to the idea that the only way to do a grounded Batman in the wake of Nolan was to strip away even more of the comic book feel to the character. The Tumbler might be a practically designed vehicle, but it's not really a practical vehicle. This is the type of car anyone person could buy do up themselves. It's funny to think of all the debates that we've had over the years about Nolan not being comfortable with comic book aesthetics and yet this film is making his look entirely fantastical. Honestly, like the suit, this is kinda the only way they could do a more grounded take on Batman that didn't walk on Nolan's shoes. The results so far just look underwhelming.

This is probably the one time where I was super hyped for the person casted, then my hype slowly died the more things get revealed. This batsuit honestly looks like it can be made out of trashcan plastic cutouts by a cosplayer. I expected more from a billionaire really. Unless they're really going the Aronovsky route and Bruce loses his fortune. Then all the revealed stuff would make a lot more sense.

Do billionaires usually travel by spaceships?
There’s going to be a Wayne Manor ... he won’t be poor.I mean this thing probably can't even jump on rooftops

That's not the exhaust. This has a dual exhaust, which comes out of the left and right near the roof. Those big pipes coming out near the roof is the exhaust. What you're talking about is in the center, which has nothing to do with an exhaust...unless it's a fake exhaust, then there will be three.Right, but that's the exhaust. I don't think it's actually a rocket engine, but what's the thing in the center? Looks like a nod to the classic afterburner.
