Also, I think I have to revise my previous statement and say that this is as close to Batman Beyond/Kingdom Come as I could handle without scooping my eyeballs out.

Even this fairly cool design pushes it too hard I think.

You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this Matrixy black armor thing. There wasn't a single nipple on this suit.

I think everyone is gonna be like 'Holy *****!' We haven't been down this path before. Even the hardest core '***** this movie' person will be like 'alright, I'm ready!'"

because people haven't learned to un-Nolan-ize themselves.
If you post a pic of a heavy armor suit because it makes sense or is realistic...
If you post a pic based on the Nolan suit...
If you post a pic based on someone who hasn't seen the suit speculation...

...I will be here to remind you of what some one who has seen the suit has said.

If they could somehow make the blue and grey look work onscreen, I'd be down for that. I'd happily take a black/grey style combo also. It'd be a welcome change, in my opinion, to get away from all the bulky armoured style batsuits we've seen in the movies latey. They work for what they needed to achieve in their respective films but something closer to what we see in the comics would be a nice surprise for myself.

Perhaps it could be a fabric over armour type deal? Looking forward to seeing what's in store in the coming months for BatFleck!

I really like this design.

I like that design as well, but in a different context. For instance, I think something like that with high tech bullet proof fabric would've been a better fit for Nolan's trilogy than the actual TDK/TDKR suit they went with. The pic BattleAngel posted is very much utilitarian and pragmatic (he IS wearing hockey pads ) but still looks heaps better than the TDK trilogy suits. I can imagine a guy wearing something like that actually being able to fight with some semblance of agility and employing a little bit of acrobatics in his movement. The only thing I don't like are the trunks, because they're really really arbitrarily placed there, their only purpose seemingly to draw attention to Batman's package.

Alas, for Snyder's batman, I really hope we get something less slavish to practicality and more in tune with a "creature of the night" theme.

I think that could be a little too primitive for Batman, if they give him lenses that also act as infared/ultraviolet/nightvision goggles.

Of course, that's only if he has the lenses.

Well that seems a bit draconian... I'm no robo-suit fan, far from it, but part of the fun at this stage is all the Hypster speculation (minus the completely nonsense stuff, of course).

i was talking about a website that is not attached to the production and putting their speculation out there as fact...especially when it goes against what people who have seen the suit say.

I agree. Would love to see Batman use all the gadjets and tech possible at his disposal in this film. Supes and Wonder Woman flying in formation alongside him in the Batwing and then all 3 breaking off to attack would make a great shot in my opinion

For Snyder to distance himself from the Nolan films, he HAS to do a batman unlike any other that we have seen. This starts with the batsuit. I hope that we see him using different suits, like when he may fight superman in a more armored, mechanically enhanced suit or if he's just scouting in what I am assuming to be his more usual, slim batsuit. Also, for batman to be the badass sob we expect him to be (especially because of the slow, brutish style of Bale's batman), his suit needs to allow him to be quick and agile and full of useful gadgets. I think the MOST we will see out of his NORMAL batsuit will be a little practical armor mixed with a flexible fabric. The big mechsuit may only come into play when he fights supes, in which a kingdom come style suit makes sense.

And I will be here, skeptical that Kevin Smith has really seen the Batsuit, or if he was just shown one of the ones under consideration and Affleck/Snyder haven't corrected him for whatever reason (either out of respect, or because they want to keep people guessing).

Believe me, Roach, I *want* to believe that Kevin Smith has really seen it and that it is really as Jim Lee inspired as he implies it is. When I post an armored pic, it's just to show what I consider the absolute limit of how "armored" the suit can be without making me want to pierce the jelly orbs that allow me to see.

I'm down with this. I've never minded when Batman gets into a mech style thing (I really loved that scene in Night of the Owls where he's in the big armored suit), I just want to see lots of good shots of him in the traditional garb.
