Also, the weird thing about that "leaked" image is that there is no built-in ear area on the side. I mean, I love how sleek and form-fitting the cowl looks, but there doesn't even seem to be a bump where the actor's ear is located...a bit suspicious to me.

What it looks like is the Origins cowl with Noel ears and smoothed-off sides of the head. If it IS a manip I'd say Origins is the most likely source - but I can't find a single source image that matches.

Then again if you really wanted to do a hoax you could do your own unique 3D render, then no-one would be able to identify it.

A white background is exactly what they take photos like these in front of. There were DOZENS of Christian Bale Begins photos taken on a white background that eventually made it out.

I guess I was just thinking about the image that Kevin Smith was describing. I'm sure there are others, but it seems if they put the effort into making a whole scene for a photo shoot, they'd use that for tests. I mean the angle of the cowl and the lighting suggests a more dramatic pose/shot, not just a simple suit shot, but that's just my opinion.

There are plenty of real-life cowls that are like that but still sleek and form-fitting - Dead End, the new Flash, various custom cowls.

I'd love to see this if it is an original 3D render. The face looks pretty darn lifelike in proportion and the lighting is good too, but I know that some programs can do a lot these days:yay:

Maybe so, but I'd have to see those other cowls to make that call though.

But these days shots like that are taken in front of a blank background and put together in photoshop, not necessarily taken on a set.

I meant that the cowl would be a render, the face would still be a photo. Anyone with a bit of talent could get the 3D model of the Origins cowl, modify it and render it up realistically with a real photo shopped in.

You may be right, but I'd think they'd want to see it in a real set environment with actual lighting. Using photoshop to cut and paste him into another photo usually feels and looks like you did just that.

That would take time, but again it's possible. I mean we can't even tell if this is actually Ben's face anyway - it's pretty contrasted and grainy.

Also, we have to take into consideration that this image was posted by a brand new poster. Not accusing anyone of anything, but it's not like one of us "regulars" posted it - just saying.

It's also a tad odd for it to be in black and white, no?

Who even does black and white anymore? Nobody. Must just be used to hide things.

The fishiest thing is that the person who posted it to the imdb forums said it was from Instagram. Well, all instagram photos are 640*640 resolution and nothing else as far as I know, so that's not an instagram photo. But maybe they had their wires crossed as to where is came from.

Although more likely is they're the one who created it.

If it is WAS real, it could fit into a shot like this - the kind of shot Kevin Smith described...the angle and lighting seems about right and that gray wedge in the lower right corner of the "leaked" image could be supes cape. Just an observation.

Batfan's breaking out the CSI stuff, lol. It would fit into that. The black and white still seems dubious though.

Edit: I see it now.

I wonder... IF TDKR had had a new suit, or rumours of one before we found out there wouldn't be, and I'd posted this saying "found this on such and such, possible leak?" how many would have been at least credulous that it was real. It would have come undone pretty soon when the source image was discovered (that background is pretty recognisable from the original photo) but still - I bet some of you would have got excited for a second :)

Or at least would have when I got it embedded properly.

When I first saw that black and white pic, I didn't even think it was a good fake. But seeing how it could fit into a supes/bats pic like what was rumored, shows the creator at least put some effort into it.

True, but the "leaked" image we have now isn't like anything we've seen really, so it's more of a curiosity than anything else.

I really, really like the Arkham Knight suit.

Is it different? Yes but there something about it I just really like. Normally I don't like all the armor and I don't like how the cape isn't over the shoulders but maybe it's because of the title. Arkham Knight. Batman looks like a medieval Knight and the Batmoblie is his horse. I just love it.

That's the excuse people used with The Dark Knight and the Batpod. The suit still looked like crap, though.
