Can someone explain how the Batmech above is "badass", but this is "hideous" or whatever:

Screenshot from the new Arkham Knight game: Could this be the inspiration for the new Batfleck suit in Man of Steel 2?

Also, don't you think it's time for Supes to get the same video game treatment? JEEZ!!
Nope. and Ben's suit won't look like that.

Yeah seriously . Arkham games are amazing. I'm not even really into games, but I have a 360 for the sole purpose of playing those 3 amazing games.

Nailed it. I was trying to think of what the suit reminded me of. It's this.

Whaaaat hideous? No dude you're being close-minded. Its all subjective. There is no such thing as a hideous batsuit. Also, it doesn't really matter how Batman loks because he is in the dark a lot so we won't see his suit lolololololol :o

It looks like an amateur version of the suit, that´s why it is hideous. It looks like a Halloween costume.

i kinda like the material used for the green parts on Robin's suit though

Same ugly metallic puzzle-piece sort of thing. Except the Arkham Knight suit added in even more ugly details like weird bevels on the cowl and odd necklines and weird underarmor joints that seem to have no purpose.

Nope. and Ben's suit won't look like that.

I remember a report of the new Batsuit could contain metallic or silver but there also could be two Batsuits displayed. Maybe an Alex Ross inspiration or a Lee Bermejo inspired:

Do I really need to state "IMO" for you? Are you six?

Neither of us is being objective. We have opinions about something, which we are discussing. A discussion board would be rather stale if it was suffused with objectivity.

That is your inference, not my implication, because- guess what- I am merely stating my opinion!

No you don't.

I don't play videogames, and I have no need or desire to feel like Batman.

Whether you intended it or not, this statement comes across as a purely objective statement: 'I am simply reflecting on what a rancid concept that thing has from every standpoint, whether you are a comicbook purist, an adherent or pseudo-realism, or simply an admirer of good graphic design.'

You can't just hide under the guise of 'everything I say is obviously just my opinion', because that's not what your statement suggests at all. But we've been over this before... This is why you should be clearer and speak more as if it were an opinion and not just assume statements written as declarative statements will be assumed to be nothing more than your opinion. There is a way to do that, it's called using language correctly, might wanna add it to your repertoire. You don't have to say 'IMO' in order for it to actually sound like an opinion rather than a declarative statement :funny:

Seriously though, digressing...........

All declarative statements are a person's opinion. It is obvious and doesn't have to be stated.

Your insinuation that regwec is "hiding" behind a guise and that he isn't using language correctly because of your subjective opinion of how language should be used is both hypocritical and belittling.

Perhaps you should learn the interpretive skills possessed by most adults?

The idea that I have to qualify every single damn post I write with "in my opinion" is ****ing ridiculous.

In my opinion.

Lighting, production value, the person under the cowl, lack of context, etc.

Interesting. Maybe they're fans of a the musical. Must've been shway for it to end up in the video games.

Back to the ol' "any batsuit looks good when you can't see it in the dark" argument.

And then the person under the cowl is making the suit look bad? That doesn't make sense at all.

Lack of context? By that you mean lack of blurring / darkness to obscure the suit's defects.

I hear there is a new combo move in the game that allows Batman to break out into song. Its pretty rad.

Once again, the sentence I actually responded to is primarily interpreted as saying that someone who admires graphical design should find fault in this design. Sorry, that's just what you wrote, lol. If you worded it in a way that didn't represent what you really meant, that isn't really my fault.

And no, you don't need IMO to make something actually sound like an opinion.

Anyways, at least we got some new batsuit image to discuss, even if it isn't the BvS suit, but I doubt this holds us over until May.

Is this too much to ask for the movie?

Seriously? :funny:

Absolutely. The design isn't all that great and differs from the Arkham suit in some crucial ways, but making it more of a matte finish with lighting not meant to reflect so damn much, along with it being more in the proper shadowy context and an actor that actually looks the part would greatly improve the image. It's like using behind the scenes images to rip on a film - context is everything. Something that looks horrible out of context could be excellent in the intended context. It's something any body in the arts (film in particular) should understand.
