Thanks. I've been reading a lot of the topics/replies pretty much every day for a since the movie was announced.

The chin thing was just a thought after seeing this.

I kind of see useless to have an actor who has a good chin, and then cover it. I like free-chin.

By the way... Welcome to the hype!!!!

I know it may not be practical, and wouldn't work well in a movie, but I always liked this concept for an all black suit (black and grey suit advocate that I am.)
Knight Shadow Batman:

Looks too much like Black Panther.

I like Grampa's version better than that. The fan version does looks like he's carrying less stuff though.

Then, there's also this...

Something about the fabric being all crimped up like that really bothers me.

Grampas batman always strikes me as militant. And its great work for what is.

Did you guys see that "BOSS" martial arts leg sweep Cap did on that pirate? That's the kind of thing Batman should be doing on screen but CAN'T..........Because he cant move!!

Please stop with the armored suits!

Welcome to the hype!

Also, about the chin...

I have mixed feelings about covering it. It is something that could be used to identify him, but usually I don't think cowls that cover it look that good. The one in this image looks fine, so I guess I'm open to it depending on the overall design.

Thank you.

I see what you mean on the chin. Movie wise it make sense to see it, but in the real world if it were me I would want it covered.

I think the cape gets in the way too. Imagine trying to fight someone without that thing getting in the way. I bet they'll CGI the cape in some scenes to allow him to move better. Superman's CGI cape looked good is MOS.

While I usually prefer black and grey, a more monochromatic suit can look good:

The Fleck needs to bulk up if he wants to look good in this suit. I'd love something like this. It's simple, yet badass.

I don't care how big he is, as long as he's fit. He has a large frame anyway so any lean muscle on that would look fine.

In fact I wouldn't mind a bit if Batman was noticeably more svelte than Superman - it makes sense and differentiates them visually.

I'd love too see a Bruce Timm style cowl/cape in live action.

Oh yeah, the B: TAS suit is awesome. Simple, functional, intimidating...especially the cape/cowl part of it.

One thing I didn't like about Bale's BB suit was the way the cape left that gap in the front from how far apart the attachments were on the cowl...looked weird to me.

Common Ninja Myth #1: "Ninjas" wore black night uniforms and skulked around in the dark.

Think about it--like no one's going to look at you and guess what you're doing if you go around in a night suit at noontime? Idiocy. Night uniforms were typically blue, anyways--if you care to verify, visit the Iga-Ueno "Ninja" Museum at Iga-Ueno Castle, in Mie Prefecture. Black outlines you on a dark night. It makes you MORE visible, since the sky isn't black, it's blue. Dark blue is much more effective. And of course, just because you wear a night outfit to avoid being seen, doesn't make you a "Ninja" (thieves are also often depicted in similar attire in Japanese theater/paintings), but I think that should be obvious enough that I don't have to say it.

Since he's supposed to be a ninja, it's interesting to see that they actually wore navy blue not black because blue blends with darkness better.

While I usually prefer black and grey, a more monochromatic suit can look good:

Love that pic, but the only reason it looks monochromatic is because the whole picture is colorless...

If they added color, I'm pretty sure that suit would be black and grey.

Anyone see the new Capt America movie?? Recall Cap taking down the thugs on that Lemurian Star ???

Remember how fluid and uninhibited his movements were?? How fast he was?? No trick camera angles were needed.........

What Cap did, is what Batman should be doing........BUT HE DOESNT!

Wanna know why??

Because they keep Burtonizing him with this black rubber armored suit!! Every movie is a chore for Batman to move around!! He's as stiff as a board.

Did Cap's suit look protective?? Yep........But he could friggin move!!
he was agile in his fight with Batroc too....

DC....enuff of this armored Bat!! Cap isn't bullet proof either,

Agreed.

The more svelte, lithe physique worked wonderfully for Cap in TWS. I'm now more open to seeing a leaner, more agile Batman after watching TWS.

Aaaagh, someone busting out science & history on why dark blue's better! Haha...nice one, Wayne.

Personally, and I know we all have our own ideas of a 'perfect' Batsuit, but I want a mixture of many different elements. I like the riveted look of the AA/AC suits, looks protective but flexible. I like the tech & armor of the gauntlets of same suit(s). I like belt from Hush & TDKR, bulky pouches.

But...I did like the neck joints in the TDK/R suit; not the attachment to the suit or the helmet-y thing the cowl had to become because of it, but just the flexible, jointed neck. The New 52 suit has aspects of the same in the cowl, but with better "dressings" around it.

...just please, no nipples :wow:

Whatever we get, some will complain while some will be elated. I just want to see it yesterday.
