^^Agreed!

And I agree with Shazam's points about WB continuing to 'Burtonize' the Batsuit over and over. But Cap is Cap and B-Man's suit is for entirely different purposes when it comes down to it. A guy with a shield, a big 'A' on his forehead and sissy wings on the sides of his dome isn't in the same ballpark as a suit designed to strike terror & fear.

Too much bulky rubber/armor doesn't help in striking terror and fear. It takes away from the theatrics and "creature of the night" aspect.

I think the cape gets in the way too. Imagine trying to fight someone without that thing getting in the way. I bet they'll CGI the cape in some scenes to allow him to move better. Superman's CGI cape looked good is MOS.

That utility belt probably weighs him down a bit.

The more svelte, lithe physique worked wonderfully for Cap in TWS. I'm now more open to seeing a leaner, more agile Batman after watching TWS.
Evans is far from svelte. He's not bulging or significantly ripped, but no one in their right mind would consider him thin by any measurement.

I'll have to disagree. I'm not sure anyone in their right mind could consider him NOT lean.

No, I agree with you. I was only referring to the point of the aesthetics of B's suit versus Cap's (there's no comparison).

I'd rather see him streamlined with a functional and flexible suit that "appears" armored but isn't klunky...and CG the cape in those scenes where it would get in the way.

and here we ...go!!!!

there were alot of good examples and i guess we can nail it down to what we hope it will look like this time...if they deliver something along all these lines (pic above for one of many examples) i predict the server crashes in no time

A blue cowl. Hmm, I dunno..

Nope. I think blue can be done, but it's got to be WAY darker and less saturated than that. A blue-grey that's nearly (probably 80% or 90%) black. The one in that pic is way brighter than the blue on Superman, which would just be wrong.

Here's a bigger version of that art. There are a lot of cool details, but that belt SUCKS!

His thighs are so oversized that they look like those jodhpur things Nazis wore.

Yeah weird proportions, which is strange because the artist obviously has talent.

I love the organic approach to the bodysuit, which is what has been missing from Bale's suits.

But cant we strike fear and be able to "MOVE" fluidly like Cap?? These two qualities of a Bat Suit are not mutually exclusive..........Cap took on Batroc without his shield. He fought 12 bruisers in an elevator with his shield lying on the floor.

I think the suit should look really close to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuKQ3Oc97Wk

Look at how he's able to move.....now granted.....Batman would never follow an unknown guy with claws into such a confined space.....AND no Burton armor
could keep adamantium claws out. So, let's cut the "it looks like spandex" crap. I think Cap's Shield uniform is a get idea for how the Bat suit should look and function....

Batman needs to be able to slide, kick, leap, leg swipe and do all the things Cap did.

Good point

I really don't think mobility was much of an issue with the Nolan suits. I truly think Nolan is just a ****** action director. He just does not have an eye for bringing superheroes to life visually.

A Zac Snyder Batman movie(s) with the exact same scripts, sets, cast and even Batsuits would have looked COMPLETELY different to Nolan's movies, just in the WAY it was shot and the action staged.

And if for whatever reason the forced Snyder to put a BB/TDK esque suit on Affleck for this film, the fights would still look way better. Don't forget - the Nite Owl and Ozymandias suits were still pretty Burton/Nolany in terms of how they were made and those fights were great.

Well put.. And I happen to agree with you. I do like how Nolan established the Batman in "BB" coming out of the shadows and such when he was first introduced, but it was a steady decline after that moment for me. The daylight appearances, and the decisions with the aesthetics of the suit? Not what I wanted to see. I also think that the Keysi (sp?) style of fighting is not cinematic what so ever.

If the new suit has a certain amount of mobility built in to it, I think the fight choreographer and the "other" Batman will be key.. Hire a stuntman that will laugh at the mobility issue.. And go for it.

Just like with TWS.. That wasn't ALL done with Chris Evans, and I could care less. I loved it anyhow.
