I said this in the physique thread but I think that was deliberate, the lack of a V-shape and going for the barrel look.

It's very similar to how Batman is built in DKR, and would fit in with the motif of an older grissled batman.

Hard to tell from the angle. His torso/arms looks majorly jacked-up, though. I don't really care how Affleck's real physique looks if the end result with the suit/padding is that.

I do find it amusing - and yet of course inevitable - that after years, decades even, of fans demanding a more comic-booky costume in the movies, that of course when we get the costume we've been clamouring for all this time there'd be someone saying it's "too comic-booky."

Yeah. Very bittersweet for me. Bitter because I want a damn Superman trilogy so bad, sweet because I was more disappointed with MOS than I've been with a movie for a longtime, in fact I'll be fine if they don't even make any reference to the movie in the new one and just let Cavill be Superman and Clark Kent and do a non direct story. I did think we'd get to see Batman and Superman together in the first image released though... and I do kind of hope Superman's name of first in the title still, but I doubt it.

Yeah, he does now that I think about it. Bale too, for that matter. Add a rigid full head cowl, and....

I pity that you view this as a "well-made cosplay" that is "too comic book-y" for a comic book movie.

This suit looks gritty, protective, and fantastically designed/detailed. Most importantly, it looks like a Batman ripped straight from the comics without looking cheesy or goofy in any way, shape, or form. It's essentially what every person in this thread has been asking for, except maybe you. If I remember correctly, you prefer the all-black rubber? Again, I pity you.

I prefer Batman to look decently armoured because he's a human character, always have always will. Unlike most of you I couldn't give a **** about it looking like it's ripped from the comics because more often than not comic costume looks stupid. Don't get me wrong, the suit is well made, but it still looks like a well made cosplay in my eyes. Feel free to disagree.

The mere fact that a live action Batman will wear grey for the first time since Adam West has me glad enough.

The new suit looks great. I'm still skeptical about the movie overall, but visually, it'll look great.
