I'm also a bit sick of hearing "ripped from the comics!" every other sentence. Some things work on paper but don't work on film and vice versa.

And yes, this also looks to me like a very well made cosplay (same with the TASM2 suit). It doesn't make any sense to me why a man who operates from the shadows, relies on stealth and the darkness would wear a gray suit- let alone one with moulded muscles covered with fabric.

I literally just face-palmed for real. By the way, does it make sense to you that a man who choose to dress up like a bat every night?

if they are just in here trolling....

if someone says...I don't like the short ears...that's a logical complaint
if someone says it looks like a cheap cosplay suit...that deserves to be laughed at

I said well made cosplay.

Grey actually camouflages in darkness/shadow better than black.

Oh riiiiiiight...because it's all just silly comic booky stuff. I totally forgot that nothing has to make sense so long as it looks "ripped straight from the comics". Apparently this is all it takes to satiate the "fans".

Yeah, particularly for a DC movie,I'm hoping it'll actually feel comic booky for a change!

I was kinda' hoping that MOS would be, too....since I think thatt Snyder seems more at home that way than trying something else.

He just said that Batman doesn't make sense to him. I can't get my head around it. Do you know if he's a fan or came here by mistake? What the actual f***?

It could very well but it's more the overall design that I find silly because it adhere too closely to the comic book design. It reminds me of Captain America's costume in Avengers which gave off a similar vibe.
Definitely differ. I thought the Cap suit in TA was great, except for the cowl. It should have had either exposed ears or the brown ear guards to make his head no look too weird in a few shots.

I shouldn't be surprised with being set upon by some of you. Many of you can't understand the idea of a Batman fan not liking the costume design, well shock, horror, you've found one. It's not a bad costume, it's just not to my taste. Feel free to disagree all you want, but grow the **** up and accept someone isn't going to love everything you do.

I do find it amusing - and yet of course inevitable - that after years, decades even, of fans demanding a more comic-booky costume in the movies, that of course when we get the costume we've been clamouring for all this time there'd be someone saying it's "too comic-booky."
Well humanity isnt a hivemind so just because the majority wanted a comicbook suit, it doesnt mean that everyone did.

I'm just saying, it's natural.
Because it just lookd at the Batsuit.
:applaud

If you look at hi res images brightened up, you can clearly see damage on the suit, which to me indicates that there is some type of armor underneath the fabric. Or, the suit could be made of material similar to Superman's suit.

"Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot."

That expression harkens back to the inception of the character.

Bruce's aim with the batsuit is to scare the living **** out of criminals. To give off the impression that he is a literal bat demon, rather than some dude running around in plate armor. They don't call him THE Batman for nothing. It ties to the almost urban-myth reputation the character has been known to have throughout his history.

The sculpted musculature accentuates the beastial aesthetic of the costume, which is the whole point of the costume in the first place.

Did you just have a stroke? Where did you get that from what I said?

I was merely pointing out the irony that you said it doesn't make sense for a man to wear a grey suit that looks muscular if he operates from the shadows and uses stealth. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne's whole purpose for dressing up as a bat (which wouldn't make sense in our "reality" either) is to look like a creature of the night who could beat the living **** out of you.

Oh, yeah, and as the other dude said, grey camolfauges vetter in darkness than black.
