The cowl and cape are two separate pieces but flow into each other to look seamless, he will have full movement in his head and neck.

Look for posts by Kyodai.

I can't believe someone posted a completely accurate description of the suit in April and none of us picked up on it! :)

Hmm, very interesting! For those who can't view the forum:

Let's see what my, uh, ouija board says about the new batsuit....

Hmmm....I see it now. 2 batsuits. Both are based entirely on the art of Frank Miller. Regular suit is spandex with 3d printed diagonal line texture. 1 piece rubber cowl. Textured rubber coated cape. Stubby ears, fat chest emblem, and squared fins. Gray and black.

The other suit...it's from the same comic as the first one, and it's the perfect thing to wear while kicking Kryptonian butt, (spiked boot soles and all).
Either a very lucky guess or It seems to me like this person has seen the designs. He also talks about the WW costume:

Robo-bats has boot fins and apparently no chest logo, just like the comic.

Very traditional approach to batsuits. Wonder Woman, on the other hand....the Thor costume designers want their style back.
I'm not saying I necessarily dislike the WW suit that my...uh....ouija board is showing me. It's just very "WW/Xena as interpreted by movie-Asgard". Doesn't really seem to fit the same movie as bats. Maybe Krypton related?
WW colors are indeed correct. You'll definitely recognize it instantly.

Just a little bit of trivia for those of you who don't like the ears on the cowl being short. The 1989 Batsuit had longer ears but they had to be shortened because they hit the roof of the Batmobile when Michael Keaton was sitting in it. I wonder if that's the case with this batsuit? Note that Ben Affleck is much taller than Michael Keaton.

About that WW costume info....does that mean we're getting this?

Not bad, if the colors are there, it looks like they're taking the New 52 approach, as expected.

what's the date on the posts?

So maybe I'm in the minority but I don't really wanna see much of TDKR. It signlas the end of Batman to me and I'd rather enjoy years or movies, similar to the Bond series that explores the actual stories of Batman.

just because they are taking visual cues from TDKR doesn't mean that's what we will get.
1) This Superman is not a boob for the government.
2) We know Batman will be in Justice League.

I agree - I don't really want them to fight at all. And I want this Batman to have just been continuously Batman for 10-15 years, not in "semi retirement". There's probably going to be a lot of things about this DCCU that I will wish were done differently, honestly I'm just in it for the visuals at this point and a story that isn't a complete travesty.

Bats and Supes fighting should be something we see after we've seen them know eachother for many years, NOT something on their first meeting. I'm sure Supes is going to be mind controlled by Luthor or whatever contrivance to get them to fight, I guess.

That's a fair point. Idk..everyone just always wants more TDKR stuff or Batman Begins and neither appeal to me and I'd be bummed if they ever went that route and it meant who knows how long before a live-action real Batman.

However you make a great point.

Neither do I but I think that's a pipe dream at this point. I'm also 99% sure that the ''remember the one man who beat you'' line will be used in the movie. I'm willing to make a bet on that too (although I made a bet once on SHH and it was not honoured by the opposing party :oldrazz:)

Snyder is a huge Batman/TDKR fan and it will have a big stamp on the entire film. I'm sure many fellow Superman fans are still in denial about that and will disagree but that's how I see it playing out.

Oh come on, wouldn't you like it if there was atleast a small fight due to them misunderstanding each others intentions, like in the New 52 JL? That's what I'm hoping for atleast. And no, Luther mind control? I don't think Zack Snyder is that far gone, lol. :yay:

This looks great. But this isnt the new52 suit which still looks like a swimsuit.

Bwaha I remember that, I wonder if he will turn up again and take new bets when we get more info on this film.

I'm sure there will be TDKR influences here or there, whilst remaining very far from an actual page to screen adaption. I think they can afford to borrow some good bits from it since I can't see them adapting it anytime soon.

Oh but I thought this was what it looked like, with pants like below >>

Sorry, I'm not much of a WW comic reader, so not really in the know.

They chickened out at the last minute and removed the pants because the fans didnt like them. Here is the final suit. I think it looks good depending on the artist. Chiang here draws it the best. But it's not a suit that would work well in a movie. Like Cap's Avengers suit, it would look cheesy as hell. Imho.

Yeah, i think it's high time we moved past this...and gave her some pants. Please don't kill me, purists. Anyway, end of this discussion tangent.

Cant they just take queues from the animated Bruce Timm BM/SM movie or any of the hundreds of SM/BM issues, instead of taking them from a comic book about an insane totalitarian batman fighting a government lackey superman?

it's the directors preference...just like if I was directing this movie i'd probably take visual cues off Jim Lee's Batman...but it doesn't mean I am adapting Hush or All Star Batman.

The MOS suit looks very much like the New 52 Superman suit and yet I don't believe any of the new 52 stuff made it into the movie.

Just noticed a couple of details on the bat emblem......
There are actually two bat outlines on the emblem one lower with a slightly smaller raised one on top, which cretes an edging. If the main body of the emblem is the same color as the torso(as it appears to be), coluld that edging be a different color(subdued gold)in order to make the emblem stand out. There are also "fingers" detailed on the wings.

The word that I have heard is that everyone loves the script but had issues with the third act. Terrio was brought in to fix it (i don't know what those issues were).

The rumors i heard are that Affleck's Argo writer polished the script. Let's hope he teaches Snyder how to direct like a storyteller and not like a fanboy. Because he gets visuals, dont get me wrong, but he cant tell a story.

Direct like a fanboy? Jesus. I may not be Snyder's biggest fan and i know he isnt a number of peoples cup of tea but give the man some respect. Directing a blockbuster film is not as easy as you seem to believe.
