Bale auditioned in the Sonar suit. It's the only one other than the atrocious toy seller suit Clooney wore at the end of B&R that doesn't use the oval.

Of course, the Ice suit is just the sonar suit with other bits stuck on to it and coloured differently.

But yeah, the sonar suit in all black is not too bad.

More that they made a new black cast from the same moulds.

What are you talking about? The clooney suit is blue. It changes color depending on lighting and can appear a very dark blue (almost black) which is why they called the color blue black.

Not according to that pic of the batsuits display on the previous page (p. 12) it isn't, and I remember it looking black to me in the movie. And it looks black to me in the pics you just posted. I dunno.

Looks maybe a bit more grey than the Forever cowl- not really blue to me.

It depends on lighting. In regular light or in person it's a pretty dark navy blue color.

Here is a photo I put together a few years ago of an original stunt belt showing the various shades of blue it get depending on lighting.

Don't worry Proximo, you are not crazy or alone lol. I'm siding with you. Imo, it was Obvious in Batman & Robin the batsuit was a dark almost metallic blue. Sure some scenes it appeared black, but I was obviously blue in my opinion. Guess some people see colors better or differently than others.
