Please God I agree, it looks awful.

I don't remember Batman having stubble in Hush, but I agree, all the manips show Affleck looks great with the stubble.

It was in the cave with Nightwing, in the museum with Catwoman and I think in the batcar again with Nightwing.

Full-enveloping cape for the win.

You know, I've been a real proponent for the black/grey suit, but if they do a dark midnight blue and grey, I think I'd be up for it. I just don't want a regular blue - would come off cheesy I think. Darker the better.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking there, but the rest looks pretty good I'd say. I'm more for the black bat directly on the suit, but they may be able to bring back the yellow oval somehow...

That would just be great! I mean as we know Snyder did do that with Nite Owl, so he'll definitely do it at some point with Batman.

If Bruce Wayne and Batman both have a massive Catwoman claw scar running down their mouth, the secret identity thing becomes a lot less affective.


That said it's still a must for the costume.

I'm sure he could conceal it with makeup, and 95% of the people the Batman meets during the night aren't gonna get a good look at the bottom half of his face. Especially at night.

Agree, blue would only work if it was VERY dark.

There's almost nothing that could happen to his lower face that plastic surgery can't fix. This goes double for the tech in the comics.

So - I finally worked out how to re-activate my account after being locked out for 4 years. Seeing how we're getting a new Batsuit soon I thought I'd re-join the fray.

Most people seem to be wanting to see the kind of thing I was talking about here many years ago - and from the sounds of it we may get it. There have been countless manips done by me and everyone else, but really all I can say is that my ideal movie batsuit basically boils down to something like this:

Bermejo "Noel" suit, with the emblem separated and the bodysuit replaced with the one from the first 2 Arkham games, in a slightly darker shade of grey. And for those weirdos who don't like Bermejo's cowl, replace it with the Arkham Origins one which is also great. I'd be happy with something close to that. Doesn't have to be any more complicated than that.

I think they might...if only to totally separate it from the Nolan films.

I hope they do.

I think the fact that they've shown the movie logo as a big bat with the S in it means no, they won't. Although that's not 100% guaranteed - that black bat could exist inside an oval, but it's obviously not the traditional version that conforms to the oval's shape.

Here's the closest I've seen to something that would be a "real" version of the Arkham suit. It's neither sculpted cast rubber, nor spandex with a fake printed pattern.

It's not perfect, but it's very cool and interesting. It needs some kind of sculpted padding underneath, but the (apparent) grey-black contrast seen in these pics is pretty much what I'd like to see on screen:

Something not talked about much is the cape, how long should it be, should it wrap around Affleck. Also, do you guys think it should have the ability to glide like the Nolan films.

It should definitely be able to glide. But yeah, more grapple.

For sure. It's obviouusly not going to be this exact design, and there's definitely room for improvement, eye holes being one area that could definitely be improved.

Also, I feel that if this were sculpted to Affleck's face it would be a lot thinner/longer in overall shape.
