Not bad!

That version of the yellow oval looks pretty damn good.

Good effort, but too close to its all-black predecessors for my tastes.

Not sure about the cowl, but the suit is really good, nice work

Thanks. Was a tough work to put it together. I am most happy with the bat insignia and the cowl. I tried a lighter gray but seemd a bit out of place so I darkened it more.

Do you guys think the yellow/oval insignia will be used in this movie?
The "Keep calm and call batman" poster easter egg in MOS used it.
And it kind of fits with the blue/gray color scheme.
(...if that's in fact what we're getting)

Hard to say at this point, but I'd be surprised if it used the yellow oval considering this suit is supposedly based off Jim Lee's designs.

Yeah, but there's also some Frank Miller influence, and he used the yellow oval prominently.

Plus, the fact that the all black bat was used in the last 4 Batfilms might make it a bit more likely that they'll use the yellow oval, or some variation of that. If only to distance themselves from that now over-familiar design.

The black bat emblem would still look different if it's on a gray suit. That's enough to distance them already and that's not even counting the change in material and design which from which we're hearing is massively different than what we've had on the big screen before.

I hope we get some epic and classic Batman "pose" scenes, something like this but with his cape spread out and then slowly pulls in as he slowly rises, shadowed of course...I think it was in a fan film I saw a while back.

Wasn't fond of the film in general, but I still remember my jaw dropping when I first saw this shot years ago. Easily one of the best Batman moments captured on film.

I'd like to see both in the movie…like what they did in Justice League: New Frontier…where Batman was this dark character and wore the black and black bat and when he tried to be a more superhero character and changed to the blue and emblem.

The Nite Owl cowl looks very similar to the "Batman: Noel" design which people are saying may have inspired the cowl.

Acording to many people it's inspired by Jim Lee...

As somebody who usually thinks most everything that happens in comics/cartoons could be made to work on film....
I'm not a fan of the white eyes happening in live action.
They work really well in comics and animations,but when they're used in real life they look more like some sort of medical condition.
The contacts used in fan films look like crap.
The way they did it in TDK was pretty terrible.
Mask Lenses looked weird in daredevil

Yeah I tend to agree the white eyes probably would not work in live action, the only way I could even think to make it work is the way they did it in the Arkham games.

could the darker parts of the suit be like some sort of pearlescent gray-ish blue that looks blue in lighter scenes and black in the dark? like how ninjas don't actually wear black because that'd make them stand out

That's interesting... seeing the effects that the MOS suit has.. maybe batsuit has it too..

The pic of NightOwl got me even more excited for the costume. I sometimes forget how good that damn thing looked, probably because my brother never returned my Watchmen DVD. Another thing that excites me is Batman's potential fighting style. Snyder doesn't strike me as the elbow obsessed type.

All of this makes me giddy to see Snyder's new interpretation of the character. We could very well be seeing the most badass live action Batman ever in 2015. t:

I figure glowing eyes done with computers would be the best way to go. You can keep Afflecks ability to emote but throw in some genuinely creepy visuals and scare the crud out of people with an actually demonic look. Just plain blank eyes would be lame, and so would unmoving goggles.

But if his pupils are always glowing an unearthly color when he's threatening people would be kickass. Plus, shutting off the glow could show him getting vulnerable.
