Or maybe Mercy Graves always sucked and no one cares who Lex's henchmen are
I'm curious where the line is? Do you think comic writers shouldn't share their opinions on a film at all? Or is there something specific about the way Waid did in those early days you disagree with?To be fair Waid's comments started before The Snyder Bros went full cult.
We should be happy Snyder only killed Jimmy, Mercy, Pa, Zod, Jor-El, Lara, and Superman. He could have killed Lana, Cat, Krypto. Some people are upset about Mark Waids comments, but given how much certain sections of that fanbase have acted, including Snyder himself, I'd say a small jab is harmelss, and justified in some instances.
No everyone should share their opinions...he just pretends sometimes that the way he views these characters is the only way they should be viewed. That always bugs me. (He is hardly the only one mind you)I'm curious where the line is? Do you think comic writers shouldn't share their opinions on a film at all? Who said they can't? Not me. That's a rhetorical fallacy. His attitude was the issue not that he had a dissenting opinion.Lol why can’t a comic book writer comment on a comic book film (or any film for that matter)? If it’s a problem for the company, let them and their boss handle it.
Thank you. I wouldn't have figured out which one was David without that guy pointing.
Not to be outdone, here's Jimmy "make-DC-great-again" Gunn pointing at his own mug.Thank you. I wouldn't have figured out which one was David without that guy pointing.
Yeah, looks like John Turturro was busy filming Severance. Too bad, but I'm sure Strong will do a good job!I have to force myself to put them in my pocket otherwise I look dumb!
BTW I didn't realize they had to recast Falcone and now Mark Strong is Falcone.
Yeah, I’m gonna be honest, y’all are seeming a little nuts here…Lol people don’t know what to do with their hands during photos.

Is it the news drought, folks?
Waid’s story about standing up and shouting in the theatre is terminally embarrassing (and probably not literally true, I’d hope) but nothing wrong with voicing his opinion.

And it should be noted I love Waid as a writer and own probably more of his stuff than anyone not named Geoff Johns. But that doesn't mean his is the only correct view. Most people think Alan Moore is one of the best writers ever...but his opinions on comic films/tv are often hilariously terrible and out of touch.

Because you shouldn't be a loud, obnoxious prick in a movie theatre for any reason. It's absurdly disrespectful to everyone else, most of whom probably could absolutely not care less. It's not a moral outrage, it's not a crime against humanity, it's a stupid choice in a stupid movie - it is annoying but having a public tantrum about it makes you look:Why was that embarrassing? I just thought it was honest and emotive. I appreciated it 🤷♀️
Maybe I've just not read the same things you have. What's he said that felt like the way he views the characters is the only way vs just expressing his opinion?
