Why was that embarrassing? I just thought it was honest and emotive. I appreciated it 🤷‍♀️

Maybe I've just not read the same things you have. What's he said that felt like the way he views the characters is the only way vs just expressing his opinion?
Because you shouldn't be a loud, obnoxious prick in a movie theatre for any reason. It's absurdly disrespectful to everyone else, most of whom probably could absolutely not care less. It's not a moral outrage, it's not a crime against humanity, it's a stupid choice in a stupid movie - it is annoying but having a public tantrum about it makes you look:

A. Nine years old.
B. Insane.

I guess I'd never thought of that. Tbh I'm not sure I even took the image of him standing up in the theatre completely literally (because I felt like doing the exact same thing, but didn't actually do it). But I see your point. On the face of it, that would be pretty annoying for other people watching.

I don't believe him at all that he actually did it either.

Who said they can't? Not me. That's a rhetorical fallacy. His attitude was the issue not that he had a dissenting opinion.
But if you hear, say his views on Superman and Lois, it’s a different story. It’s more akin to “that’s not some of the choices I would make, but they treat the characters with respect so, ok.”

He just got ticked that Snyder had Superman mope around in a depressed state and then snap Zod’s neck.

Can’t say that I don’t disagree.

And I don’t think for a minute that he stood up in the theater and yelled. He’s engaging in hyperbole there.

Waid has always been against heroes getting married. He thinks that it conflicts with their selflessness.

That is one area where he and I definitely disagree.

But I don’t think that it is a product of him being misogynistic. Or at least I haven’t ever gotten that sense from him.

No I don't think that either...I can see some of his points on it. Plenty of writers believe marrying a character ages them (same with having kids) and anything that ages a hero is to be avoided because it causes problems. I mean think how old Batman usually is...now think how old he would have to be to have Dick Grayson be old enough to be Nightwing at the age he usually is in the comics. It doesn't quite work.

What they need to do is do what Sony did with Spider-Man and re-release all the Superman movies minus BvS.

LOL! I have to make a confession. When I saw Rocky IV in the theater when Drago said "If he dies, he dies" about Apollo. I was so overcome with anger I yelled out "F... you A..h... I was not 9 at the time I was 19. I was with my girlfriend (yes she married me still) and she slumped down in her seat in complete embarrassment. I have a very loud and deep voice so it was heard by all that night. I have never done it again though.

I picture you saying it like Arnie in The Terminator.

It’s amazing how fast David lost his Superman weight. He looks like a movie star. I wonder what is next for him.
If they arent having him cameo in Supergirl...it will be a big missed opportunity.

I would love for him to do other things besides Superman. Let’s see some acting range. He does not have to Pattinson but maybe some other smaller movies.

Woman of Tomorrow (the book) doesn’t have much setup or character introduction for Kara. Rather, it unapologetically plunges into a Silver Age-y, outer space adventure; and assumes the reader is already well-versed on Supergirl’s basic backstory. But I’m not sure a movie version can count on such familiarity. For this reason, I’m speculating that Kara’s intro might be handled in one of two ways: she’ll appear in a cameo/epilogue in Superman; or (as you mentioned) Superman will appear with her in a brief, Earth-based prologue to WOT.

I'm sure her origin will be covered it just won't be the basis of the film. You don't really need to know all that much to get started.

That is thr problem with Superhero films nowadays they seem to depend on cameos and end credits. I think Gunn said it best when he said Superman will be a Superman movie. I think Kara will be in it but her character will be part of the story, not just to hype Woman of Tomorrow. I don’t think Superman needs to be in Woman of Tomorrow.
