So, what are we thinking? All three guys read with each of the three girls? Nine different pairings to choose from (assuming there aren’t more actors in the mix)… from the response on this page, I’m guessing Brittney and Dynevor are the least appealing pairing, but what if it’s like… Corenswet/Dynevor? Or Brittney/Brosnahan?

Corenswet/Brosnahan or Corenswet/Mackey are the only two pairings I'd "live" with from this group lol. Brittney, Dynevor and Hoult are just total misses for me in these roles.

I'll be fine with Corenswet or Hoult. Visually Corenswet edges out Hoult, but I'm more confident in Hoult's acting abilities. I do prefer the actor to be American if only because of not having to fake an accent. Tom Brittney, while his general more burly build is what I would like for Superman, reminds me Jai Courtney, but if chosen I will of course give him a shot.

Brosnahan is far and away my favorite for Lois. I'm more sure of her as Lois than I am of an actor for Superman. Emma would be satisfactory, but please not Dynevor.

I trust in Gunn to know what he wants and will select the right person but it still baffles me that the selection are mostly fan choices when I would have thought every handsome man in the world would have auditioned. Is it just because we are dorks and think/read about this stuff all the time that we know they are fan favs?

Given the known choices, I'm honestly surprised that James Gunn is still thinking about who to cast as Superman. It doesn't take a genius to know that David Corenswet is the best option currently available.

Based on looks and presence alone, I'd dare say that he has a shot of reaching the same ceiling that Christopher Reeve is at with the right material.

Hoult is kind of left-field in terms of looks, but I think he could pull off the personality well. And I wouldn’t mind getting someone who looks a bit non-traditional. My worry with the other two is getting a pretty boy who can’t act.

Happy to see Hoult still up for Superman—he’s been on my list for sometime now. I thought he was a lock for Luthor, but we’ll see. Think he’d do great in either role. Corenswet works for me too; don’t know much/anything about the other guy.

Figures. My girlfriend enjoys my dork side, if I have been staying at her place and using her laptop ill often get asked "why is there photos of random handsome men saved to the desktop?" to which I reply "I HAD to express my opinion on how Supermans calves and hairline should look"

This pretty much sums up my feelings on the recent news.

Corenswet always looked the part, but Hoult’s a great actor and fits the mold, IMO, too.

I've never really felt like Hoult's a "great" actor, imo. He's got some range, and he's great for a certain type of role, like The Menu, or The Great. Basically when he gets to play annoying, ego-centric jackasses, I love him. Or just an obnoxious bizarre idiot like in Fury Road. But whenever he has to play anything resembling a traditional leading man or romantic lead, he falls COMPLETELY flat for me. Like, beyond boring to watch. On multiple occasions, be it the X-Men movies, Tolkien, Warm Bodies, or what have you. He's honestly felt totally miscast for me in just as many roles as I've liked him in, if not more. That type of role just is not anywhere in his wheelhouse, imo. He doesn't have a warm or inviting presence at all. He only works when he's supposed to be on some level off-putting, imo, which is why I could kinda see him as Lex, but NEVER Clark.

I'm fine with any of those that are screen testing for supes, Same with Lois.
My main concern this time is Lex.
Who is cast and HOW will he be shown.

I just don't think I can take another cheesy azz Lex or one with ADHD.
I want a deadly serious Lex, that has a Tony stark level of intelligence, and is Bald.

Yeah, he’s got chops, but i’m not really getting this push to make him a leading man in the franchise game.

Aw Hoult is totally a cute, friendly looking dude. He was charming enough as a zombie.

I personally dont mind Hoult but I do have the same worry he might be a bit too English and I am now pretty fine with Cornfritter. If its now between these guys then I kinda just want to know more about the suit now.

I am by no means saying he is jacked buuut I think these pics show he could bulk up to an appropriate size also taking into account his height. I see the same with Cornishpastie also though, some trickery of the mind with those tall boys.
